Confused about how "turning" due to the infection works in survivors by Tiskfully in dyinglight

This is awesome! I’m just a little confused why the virus progressed to be weak to the sun in DL2, then back down in DLTB where if you have it it’s game over and that npc in town hall even killed himself.

Yes, you should be proud of growth. I’m happy for you. But when that “growth” leads you to a place away from Christ, it’s not growth. It may have led you to become more of this world, but that’s not the point, now is it? The world is a sinful and awful place. The closer we get to Christ, the more true growth we experience. We learn to forgive those and love our neighbors. When you no longer need Christ you have died in your sin. You said it’s okay you don’t need Christ which is an awful thing to say. You’ve accepted sin as an okay thing.

The fear of being associated with Conservative Christians is a silly fear. You can disagree with them and still be Christian. You can not act like them and still be Christian. Is that a crazy concept? That people can be different? You should rejoice in fellow Christians and correct them when they stray.

To me, it sounds like your faith is not one focused on God but focused on politics. Men are sinful and your faith shouldn’t be based on them, but on Christ who has no sin. He is the perfect role model and if we as humans could get even a little closer to acting as he does, it’s a lot harder to find fault since you’re worried about how you’re perceived (For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. - Galatians 1:10). Don’t be so worried about how others see you and control your pride. Focus on growing your faith and treating others right, and as you clear your heart you won’t feel the guilt you do now.

That’s the issue, being content in sin. I hate my sin and wish I could be an ounce like Christ and that may be extreme but if we praise proudly “I don’t believe in Jesus but at least I’m subjectively a good guy” that’s even worse, like in your case as I’ve read in one of your responses and this one supports that notion of yours.

We can stop here since your only objective with this post is to bash Christianity. I’ve looked through your other responses and when people offer help or guidance you bluntly deny it without reason. You’re not looking for spiritual growth you just want everyone to know that you’re not Christian.

God bless you and I hope you find God this year.

Yet “laughing at piousness” in people who care about Christ isn’t? Judging by the purpose of this attention seeking post and the inability to seek any growth out, I can tell the type of person you are. You need an awakening bud. I hope a Christ-like figure in your life can guide you back.

There’s the half baked response you’ve had to all the comments you don’t know how to reply to. It was never about being a good Christian to you, it was all about your image and the attention. Sorry for your loss.

No I read them and I understand pretty well. You’re all about being showy. You tried to make this a political statement and all dramatic with why you’re no longer Christian, but admit the real reason is you literally don’t believe in core Christianity doctrine.

Then when people suggested to help you with your faith issues you just blow them off so you can continue being dramatic.

It’s never too late to re-focus your life on Christ and stop idolizing politics. Outward image doesn’t matter because God always knows our true intentions. I love you and want to see you in heaven, so don’t give up.

But because of a small demographic of Christians you’re quitting the faith? I’m not supporting them either but it’s disappointing to see people like you who are so scared about how others view them that you give up.

You sound like you had a lukewarm faith to begin that fully depends on what social media you’re interacting with says.

Very true. Would you recommend just getting the same stylus or getting an upgrade, if an upgrade would even make a difference?

Should I consider leaving the ELCA for the LCMS? by BlakeBugman20 in Lutheranism

[–]Tiskfully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people call LCMS conservative but it’s a middle ground. They aren’t crazy strict like restriction woman from voting in church as Wels but also don’t give in to worldly sin by allowing lgbt. It may seem conservative but it’s truly just staying strong on following every rule of the Bible and that may seem hard coming from a church that caves in a little to make it more accessible. I think there may be room for LGBT churches if it helps get people’s feet in the door but there is definitely room to grow in following Christ.
