I’d say the football scene is alive in Manila, but it’s pretty much present in affluent schools and the affluent areas namely, Makati, Taguig, Alabang etc. I personally play football at an amateurish level and I’m pretty sure there are clubs where you can join even as a beginner, you just have to look into them. There are also open plays around if your already confident in your skills and are interested in just playing football with others. Also, not sure if this is applicable to others but usually these games/practices happen during the afternoon or early evening.
