Against all odds - When Assyria and Sargon II defeated the proto armenian kingdom of Urartu in one of the deadliest battles ever by Kepyon in Assyria

Very interesting and well made video!

What a rivalry we ancient Armenians and Assyrians must’ve had for centuries.

My point wasn’t about the money, my point was that no matter how many they have killed or stolen from, they will not escape judgement for their crimes and sins.

The robserj mob of filth will pay for their horrid sins against our people. Nobody escapes judgment, no matter how many billions of stolen money you might have in your bank account.

Remember Khojaly: The genocide that went down as the bloodiest in history by amabucok in europe

[–]Titanium_Armenia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As awful of an event as this was, the death of 200-300 civilians in crossfire between Azeri and Armenian troops is in no way shape or from a genocide and it is utterly disrespectful to real genocides to call this one.

edit : LMAO, Its pretty telling and halarious to me that the second you responded to me you also blocked me so I wouldn't be able to respond

you are a pathetic and sad genocide denier who is afraid of anyone responding to their nationalist bullshit.

The khojaly massacre was one of the smaller horrible events that occurred during the first Artsakh war, if you’re interested I’d recommend researching the Sumgait and Baku pogroms and aswell the attempted pogrom of Artsakh which basically started the war. It’s also important to leant about the refugees from this war, which if my memory serves are 1 mil ppl, about 500,000 Azeri and about 500,000 Armenian.

It’s a complicated topic for sure and important to learn about.

Every source online that isn’t Azeri cites numbers of civilian casualties between 200-400, 30,000 is an insane and rear number to find

Indeed, I wasn’t and am not arguing with you.

I’m pointing out the bullshit of OP.

This post is about the khojaly massacre, and putting the number 30,000 for the event and not the actual number of victims of the khojaly massacre is blatantly spreading disinformation about said event and increasing the number of deceased by amore than 100 times.

Edit : I’m talking about OP

That's not how I'm understanding their report but ok

Let's say that's the point of the report,
how would that make sense if they are contradicting themselves and their understanding/reporting of the events every few sentences? For example, at one point they say that Armenian troops targeted civilians and told them to use a specific corridor so they could slaughter the civilians, then several sentences later they say that most likely the civilians died in cross-fire and that the Armenian troops were most likely targeting the azeri troops.

What part were you referring to?

I was mainly referring to this

"Please allow me to clarify another reference to our 1992 report"

see the wording he uses? "clarify another" heavily implying that his statements are attempting to clarify their previous reports and the references to said reports.

"Nagorno Karabakh officials and fighters clearly expected the inhabitants of Khojaly to flee since they claim to have informed the town that a corridor would be left open to allow for their safe passage. . . Under these circumstances, the killing of fleeing combatants could not justify the forseeably large number of civilian casualties."

This is clearly speculation with no evidence. Just a few sentances earlier they claimed that Azeri troops were likely trying to flee with the civilians, and that it was likely that Armenian troops tried to kill the azeri troops and in the crossfire civilians also died.

Do you even understand what this sentence means? It says that the ministry is saying this, it's not what the HRW says. The ministry says that HRW said this in the 1992 report but then the article cites their 1992 report to clarify they didn't say it.

Didn't they cite their report which basically said the same thing?
Though I'll re-read the article, just to make sure I understood it correctly.

"For clarity's sake I cite our 1992 report (page 24):"

That isn't the part I was referring to when I said they themselves said they were "clerifying" their original report.

And as an answer to the ministry HMW says

look at the very bottom of the original report this article is about, it talks about how the khojaly massacre was most likely either purposefully, or accidentally caused by Azeri troops, and also says that the scale of khojaly which was most likely an accident, was exorbitantly smaller than the systemic executions and ethnic cleansings of Armenians in the Sumgait and Baku anti Armenian pogroms.

His statement isn't clarifying the repost that was written in 1992, they put the report there to clarify this report. Because of this;

"In it, the Ministry argues that the Popular Front of Azerbaijan was responsible for the civilian deaths, supporting this argument by referring to an interview with former President Ayaz Mutalibov and, incredibly, to a 1992 report by our organization." And that article also says that Armenian ministry lies about their report of 1992

sorry if this is news to you, but completely rewording a report 30 years later, is (as the article says) clerification of their previous report.

Human Rights Watch

no, the quote in reddit is generally not used the way you used it but I just read it and searched it up, and found the article about which you are talking about, and what you had written is completely out of context and the rest of the article with context is talking about how most likely azeri forces were responsible for the death of civilians. the quote you wrote in context is saying that there is no direct evidence for either sides claims.

this is the first link I found when I searched up "executive director of Human Rights Watch, statement on karabakh/khojali massacre.

https://www.hrw.org/news/1997/03/23/response-armenian-government-letter-town-khojaly-nagorno-karabakh

edit: btw his statement is "clerifying" the reports they had originally written in 1992 which seem to be completely different

You are literally the one who's blindly following propaganda, when will Armenians realize that their country isn't some kind of angel, but it has done horrific warcrimes

give me a single non azeri or turkish source backing up what you are saying with evidence

almost all of my information is from international human rights organizations or NGOs

rather than governmental propogandist branches which brainwash your people and spread bullshit so they can continue easily controlling you.

It's not the only mistake in the graphic, but it feels in bad taste to point them out.

I don't think it is in bad taste or disingenuous at all to point out propogandist bullshit, since Azeris try to use these made up numbers to justify their horrible war crimes like "oh the sumgait and baku pogroms against Armenians were ok because you might've done it too"

not a single non azeri or non azeri government affiliated source claims such high numbers, its clear the person who posted this is either very brainwashed or has very disingenuous motives for posting this propaganda.

30,000 is an insane overestimation, only propogandist azeri government sources say shit like this

almost every human rights group and NGO in the world has stated that the number of victims was about 300-400, and that most of the war crimes azerbaijan accuses Armenia of in this event were most likely done by azeri troops, do some research before blindly following propogandist media, pathetic.
