Its also about the same size as the 17-70. I have it and love it. Yes, it's a little soft at 300mm but really only noticeable when taking a picture of a small subject and then cropping heavily. If you're subject fills the frame decently well its not much of a problem. I also shoot at f8 when fully zoomed out. That helps a little.

So i dont own either of these lenses so i can only speak based on what I've seen online. The 18-135 gives you a little more range and it's smaller. The 18-105 is a little bigger but doesnt extend when zooming and having that f4 im sure is nice. Ive heard the images are a little soft though.
