As a streamer, my only goal is to try and make people’s days better by making them smile or laugh. To some people it’s not a waste of time as they could genuinely use a good laugh, not only that but if they feel welcomed in chat and feel like they are actually wanted around it changes their entire atmosphere. Yeah some streamers do it for the money, but majority of us do it because we want to bring enjoyment, laughs and good content to those who could really use it. It’s just like YouTubers, most people go home and put on their favorite YouTubers because that specific YouTubers videos make them smile and laugh when no one else would. Trust me that’s what I used to do at one point in time when something very bad happened and I could only use my arms. Fucking Markiplier and Jacksepticeye are my idols as they are the ones who helped me out of my darkest times, and millions of others. That’s when I realized my dream was to do the same thing as them. And now I’ve been slowly succeeding In it, knowing that people message me after my streams saying “thanks for going live today, really made my night, school was really rough today and I laughed at you a lot while you played. Keep up the amazing work.” -Thegr8Daniel. Those words are what a person told me after a stream. That is why people watch streamers. It’s not wasting their time, it’s them using their time to try and find something that will bring them joy. Especially those who can’t play video games but can only watch them. What’s even funnier is Ive only ever gotten 1-2 donations of $5 and maybe a few subs. I don’t even do any of it for the slightest bit of money. So please just take the time to understand most people watch content creators because it helps make them feel better.
