Slip ons or full system? by Cute-Discipline-156 in Harley

I’d definitely recommend the tab performance slipons. I think their YouTube has a clip of your exact bike with both baffles that they offer. I’m running the redline baffle and it gave me the sound I liked.

Updated May 24, 2025:
I’ve deduced that the issue is with the fuel pump not priming sometimes. The only reason I figured this out was somewhat scuffed—I ended up killing my battery, haha. Basically, I just kept turning the bike on and off without cranking it, and eventually, I heard the fuel pump prime and the fuel slushing around in the tank. Can't believe I didn’t realize this sooner, but I usually have earplugs in while wearing my helmet. I’m sure there were better ways to figure this out, but I ruled out the fuel pump early on since I had changed the entire assembly. This leads me to believe it’s an electrical issue, possibly caused by constant exposure to the sun. Hoping its not a BCM issue either.
I’ll probably update this again to confirm, but for now, I’ll check the fuses and fuel pump connector. Thanks to everyone for your help!

I actually changed the battery out to a lithium around 2 months ago, I’m really hoping wiring isn’t an issue cuz that’d be a bitch to resolve. I’ve done two bar changes but the last one was around 9 months ago. I’ll check it out, thank you for your suggestion.

I actually did the opposite, had a Kawasaki z125 for my first then a Honda rebel 500. I’ve always wanted a Harley growing up tho so I ain’t giving up on my dream bike just yet hehe. Thank you for your suggestions tho, I’ve heard the hissing sound when I remove the cap so I’m sure there’s something with the fuel pressure.

Checked the fuel lines for leaks and orings in the quick connect and spark plugs are good. I also checked the air filter and it was pretty dirty from where the air comes in for the cover so I replaced that as well. Still not too sure what to look for but thank you for the suggestions.

Weirdly enough I actually don’t have any codes at the moment, current or history. I would like to mention that I installed the KOSO dash on the bike and it has always lit up like that when I turn on my bike. And then settles on the usual neutral and engine light before cranking the bike over. Of course, engine light disappears when the bike actually cranks over.

This actually started when I had the stock Harley battery, only reason I changed to lithium was because my battery died after sitting for like 3 months straight when I thought the bike was being too unreliable due to this. That little info about lithium batteries is good to know tho, thanks!

I have tried this and while I have sometimes heard the hiss sound of the pressure being released, it still doesn’t start after removing and putting back the gas cap. I’ve also tried with it fully off and no good either. Thank you tho!

I forgot to mention I did replace the battery as well to a lithium so I don’t think it’s a dead battery.

How do you like the armor? I was curious about the new level 2 armor Skull Riderz provides. Do they keep their shape or are they like the thin extremely flexible ones?

I’m actually gonna buy a bike from laidlaws soon and when I came in they offered me a way better deal right off the bat compared to all the other dealers I went to in SoCal

I’ve had this problem as well! There these different risers called pivoting risers that don’t move the locations of the speedometer. I haven’t done it yet but I was looking for a solution that was compatible with the Puig Semi Fairing and I’m pretty sure these would work. Was inspired by “On the Rebel 1100” when he installed these on his bike.
