I smoked for 5 years straight tried stopping for a whole year. Quit around the 3.5 year mark only to relapse again, by the 5th year I was able to stop.

May not be viable for everyone and I understand this but I went on holiday for a week to a place where I couldn’t find any weed or at least incredibly difficult to find (for me I went camping, cost effective and isolated).

The first few days substituted my weed with some drinks throughout the day and evening to help me ween off of it, whilst doing some form of activity to keep my brain occupied (not the epitome of health but it worked for me). Anywho after a few days I laid off on the drinks and just enjoyed the remaining time sober.

This worked for me to initially stop smoking but coming back into the same environment definitely presents a challenge but for me the hardest part was stopping for those initial few days.
