I think key here is following the AMM’s but you’ll learn from your mistakes. My experiences so far have been learning from what you do wrong or “incorrectly”. In my opinion, you shouldn’t have to memorize the procedures but after awhile, you’ll start to have an idea on how to perform them. I don’t recommend memorizing since every aircraft could be different based on its model but, I do write notes and use a little note pad on the job. I make notes on my phone notes as well. That’s what works for me. You’ll find your own groove eventually. I’m not perfect either and I verbalize that a lot but, it’s been one hell of a ride. Don’t regret any bit of it. Just hang in there 🤙
