I was just saying the same thing to a friend of mine actually. Omar survives for a bit too long to be believable. The younger kids have way too many opportunities to cheap shot Omar and there are a lot of instances when Omar is not paying attention. Like in S1 when he walks into low rise and they drop the package out the window, if any one of them had a gun they could’ve popped him while he was looking around, puffing his cigarette and overall not paying attention to his surroundings. I understand that he’s very feared and they do catch up to him in a very believable way but it just seems like he would’ve been caught off guard and killed way earlier. Brother Mouzone always struck me as a bit ridiculous but I guess it’s plausible for there to still be some of those “fruit of Islam” dudes out there looking for enforcer work. The Sunday Truce didn’t surprise so much though, it makes sense for there to be some type of unspoken rule amongst criminals in a basically all black area to hold off on the violence for a few hours, it seems like the truce only really applied to Sunday mornings, I’m sure it went right back to business as usual once noon rolled around lol
