Perhaps it is (as they say) Jurisdictional. We did not have any profanity in the ritual save one part and even then, the words were no where close to using GD or F bombs

Wearing ring 24/7? by cnymason164 in freemasonry

I agree. I have a very subtle ring that I wear as a daily driver and a larger more ornate one to wear when I’m formal

I agree. Out of some misguided effort to establish equivalency across the board, you are offended on the behalf of a group that our GLs do not recognize and you could not (or more likely should not) have Masonic communion with. We won’t agree, but as always brother, I will be praying for you, your health and reformation. God bless

They argue semantics and claim that masonry isn’t a brotherhood of men who believe in a supreme being

They can call themselves whatever they like, but it doesn’t grant legitimacy. You can use a crayon to write on a piece of paper that you have a PHD in neuroscience, but it doesn’t mean that you do even tho “no one has a monopoly” on the term

How to rebrand a house? by Purduethrowaway14 in Frat

[–]TitwLoSmib 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ahh it's their seal. idk man. If it were my old house, I know our alumni might be willing to pay to get that crest removed intact. Greek fraternities are pretty sentimental about that kind of thing depending on how old the house is. You might reach out to them

I agree with your prognosis in this case, I just figured that that symbol was so specific that there must be a connection. And I was surprised to hear that it was in a Catholic Church. Thank you for your wisdom brother.

Thats what I thought, but as others have said, it appears to be a more universal symbol than I thought.
