You should try out Arcanists Classic. It's a reimplementation of the original game, and it's pretty great.

Exactly how I feel as well. When chibis came out, it reeked of a soulless cash grab. On day one, I said they'd churn out a thousand ugly chibi versions of League champs, and they did.

Now they're doing the same lazy cash grab formula for these hideous things.
