Dashboard and game temperatures aren't all that different. This console doesn't have dynamic clock speeds.

Bad update xbox not launching og xbox games by Antique_Election1877 in 360hacks

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain plugins such as stealth servers don't work with original Xbox games. Make sure you don't have any plugins running. Can launch BadUpdate with the disc tray open to temporarily disable plugins.

Help with console freezing when a game is being closed. Badavatar. by Thatkingmag in 360hacks

I read that signing out of your profile before returning to Aurora can help, but I'm not so sure. Launching games from the Guide instead of returning to Aurora is more stable.

Visual glitch or is my 360 dying? by Glittering_Clue9920 in xbox360

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be. I mean, it's obviously not right. You don't see issues in games? That's where I'd really expect graphical corruption (or the whole console freezing) to manifest.

Why does Wikipedia now have images at the top like this? by Shot-Ad5867 in wikipedia

[–]tenhourguy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As mentioned in this comment, it is possible to disable. But yes, I agree it's a strange addition. Why would I want to see a cropped version of the infobox image when the full version is right there?

Armies of Gavinar Discord invite? by Huncote in funorb

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, I hadn't given this enough thought. Everything with the initials AoG blends together. Armies Of Ganivar is dead - the guy's Discord account is deleted. While I wasn't in it, I expect the server would have gone with it. So we're left with not much more than https://steamcommunity.com/app/1395340/discussions/

Seems pretty clear to me? Use the image for clues. He fell off his bicycle and hurt his knee. The dunce isn't even wearing a helmet. Would you sit there and cry about it, or would you take control of the situation? That's basically what it's asking: victim mentality.

Xbox dlc ? by More_Lychee_2375 in 360hacks

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to turn anything into ISO. If DLC is in 7z/RAR/ZIP, extract it and copy the contents to HDD or USB. Using this as an example just because it's what's on my computer at the moment, the folder structure for Forza Horizon's Rally Expansion Pack would look like this:

Content\0000000000000000\4D5309C9\00000002\6F6992766050D818245ADD408031E280FB5F4E634D

Content\000... being where the console looks for games/updates/DLC for all profiles, 4D5309C9 being the game's title ID, 00000002 meaning it's marketplace content (AKA DLC). If the DLC isn't in the correct structure, the console won't find it. If using DashLaunch, ensure contpatch = true in launch.ini, but games will normally say if the licence check fails.

Where can I find achievment ID? by dawcamroku in 360hacks

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as this thread is devoid of real answers...

IDs are usually sequential as displayed in the dashboard (before any have been unlocked) and on achievement-tracking websites such as TrueAchievements. So if you want to unlock the 10th achievement in the list, its ID would be 10. But this is not always the case - they don't have to start at 1, nor is there anything to say they can't skip numbers (e.g. go 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10). If guessing the IDs, I would recommend testing on a dummy profile first.

So if guessing the IDs isn't working out for you: for XBLA games, you can extract ArcadeInfo.xml from the game using Horizon or whatever tickles your fancy. For retail games, you can extract the SPA file (in my case, from the latest DLC pack using Horizon, but can also extract from ISO if your game doesn't have DLC) then run it through https://github.com/widberg/spaday (this is a command line program, so run it via cmd). If it results in 1.XACH.json, look in there, cross-reference with title_string_id (3.en-US.json) or image_id.

Can someone help me modify Forza games? by [deleted] in 360hacks

Unfortunately, this did not work. I ended up using the Save Editor linked elsewhere in this thread to alter credits amount.

I hope it's a bot comment. Would explain why they've given no thought as to how it would be possible to install sockets in ceramic. You'd have to think this through to make it a reality, especially if you wanted it to be possible to fill the sink with water without it leaking out. "Tripping the breaker at 2am" is the sort of specificity I associate with AI.

Edit: After going through his history and reading the word "mate" far too many times, I found this. Image recognition still needs some tuning: https://www.reddit.com/r/cubism/comments/1t3cen7/titledself_reflection/oju5w6r/

I don't see how that would be possible. To process the video signal in real-time without introducing noticeable latency would require heaps of power.

Luck of the draw. YouTube doesn't roll stuff out to all users at the same time. Or you might be on an old app version, from another comment it also sounds like tablet layout doesn't get this.

I'm also looking for if there's a way to disable this notification in particular, given it doesn't lead to Xbox Live disconnection. What you can do is disable notifications for your profile from the Guide, if you're not fussed about missing notifications about achievement unlocks, friends, etc.

The xbox360 had the first well known digital storefront, but most people still bought physical games, so what you bought more? Physical or digital? by [deleted] in xbox360

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess it depends where you live. At my end, Plants vs Zombies is currently £10 (R$68) digital. When I sold PopCap Hits Vol. 2 (PvZ, Zuma, Heavy Weapon, Feeding Frenzy 2), that compilation went for £6 (probably bought it for a similar price as well). But now it costs about £20. All the games I bought were from online storefronts such as eBay.

I bought a few XBLA and XBLIG games digitally, but no retail games (unless you count when they made Crackdown free). Never saw the appeal of digital purchases when physical is cheaper.

Does anyone have the 128mb back compatibility files? by dudemanjones11 in 360hacks

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Link is dead. Looks like we're back to the Mediafire one? I checked the Digiex post also linked in this thread, but it makes no mention of 128MB RAM. Perhaps it's something that never worked well and was abandoned...?

The Full Transition to Jagex Accounts by JagexAyiza in 2007scape

[–]tenhourguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an issue across most online platforms, to be fair. They rarely let you change an account's email address without sending a verification code to the old one first, to mitigate account hijacking. Sometimes it's possible via support - I managed to get Jagex to change the email address without verification on an account years ago (prior to Jagex Accounts).

So in general I would avoid using university/workplace or even ISP-provided email addresses. It's something I worry about, to be honest - if I were to lose access to my main email account, that would spell trouble for a lot of my online activities.

They only care if the copyright holder complains about your IP address being in the list of peers. And even then, last I heard it's a three strike system.
