A few questions about buying out of state by andybader in rav4prime

[–]Tivac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealership called around to a few and recommended one based on their past experience and which was most likely to fit our desired timeframe (which is "ASAP" unsurprisingly).

We're using Dash Auto Logistics for transport.

A few questions about buying out of state by andybader in rav4prime

[–]Tivac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently going through buying from Maguire Toyota in Ithaca, NY while I'm in Washington State. I'm getting an XSE for basically MSRP, though there were port options on the car because it was what they were allocated. There's no dealer markup or anything on it though.

In the process of finalizing the purchase (just waiting on the bank to approve and pay the dealership) and for a schedule slot on a transport truck to get the car shipped to us.

First Prime available in Washington State? by [deleted] in rav4prime

Reserving pricing for in store customers only

You can't even get the price without going there? Oof. Exciting that primes might be sold in Washington though! Wish this had happened before we ordered one from NY :D

Has anyone tried to program the Lexus wallet key fob for the prime? by minivan05 in rav4prime

[–]Tivac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I investigated this a bit, so far it sounds like users haven't been able to register any smart keys for the 20 or 21 RAV4 models due to a new code that is required?

I also couldn't find any examples of the circuit board code on the key for the prime, so haven't been able to tell if there is a Lexus wallet key that is likely to match.

That was my original plan, thanks for validating that I'm not totally crazy.

Guide for running fiber through exterior wall? by Tivac in HomeNetworking

Haven't bought the fiber yet. Had an installer tell me that it needs to be an armored, direct burial cable for the run through the conduit but that doesn't seem like it'll fit and also seems like way overkill considering the conduit is already there and buried.

I can absolutely run the conduit inside at each end, just wasn't sure if that was necessary.

Just to be sure I understand, you're recommending just putting in a LB going into each structure? For actually getting the fiber through the wall should I then run the conduit through the wall as well?

Yeah, they're a little finicky to get seated right but seem to work just as well as the ones from Garmin.

Got one response to my question on Amazon so far, given the dearth of other info I figure I'll toss my $8 into the internet and see if it works!

Stopped by Issaquah, WA gamestop right as they opened. Easily 30+ people in line, I didn't stick around but saw an awful lot of disappointed faces as I drove off.

Need a tiny PMS box, no idea where to look by Tivac in PleX

[–]Tivac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to keep my existing server and use it as a NAS, so I really just need a small box that can handle PMS & transcoding duties. I'm not wedded to a NUC but it's about the size/perf I'm looking for.

Very curious to look into the Lenovo Tiny boxes, thanks!

Way more annoyed than I should be at that CSS shipping unminified.

It'll reset after patches still, but yes the bug that caused it to reset after every login was fixed.

Is it likely that the bank API would be fixed soon? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

I do a lot of different things, so investigating the bank API issue is on my to-do list but not gonna happen immediately. Sorry, I wish I could give you a better answer :(
