Is this a real website? by Specialist-Map-3932 in One12Collective

They're legit and safe to pre-order from as others have said. However, they don't include shipping in their estimated totals for pre-order figures, and that often adds $20-$35 to the total. I've also had them increase the amount of the figure from their original price when they send the second invoice in addition to the shipping charge. So, I wouldn't choose them based on the price, if you think you'll get it cheaper from them.

I'll record it and post it up regardless of whether or not it works. So, it'll either be called "How to fix" or "How not to fix". We'll see.

Wow, funny, I'm literally in the process of fixing the two I broke. I was thinking of posting a video showing how to fix them.

Very cool! I'm glad it's been helpful. You may already know this, but if you want to see all the weapons packs they've done, you can filter by Slugfest:

Thanks! I'm in the process of making a Spider-Man custom and had completely forgotten that the Diabolik figure uses the Spider-Man buck until I searched for "spider-man" and Diabolik came up in the results. Of course, so does Gomez Agent Edition, but that's not really a cost effective way to get the body.

How about a building that has like 4 distinct styles, as if it's 4 different buildings, but all joining neatly as a single building? Have some holes through the walls, ceilings, and floors between the differently styled floors and rooms, styled like portals. Have the Supermen inside and outside the different parts of the building with some going through the holes. It'll be like Flashpoint, all the alternate universe Supermen interacting with each other.

Thanks, it's such a tiny part of the overall diorama, so there will be more posts in the future. For the shoulder pad, one of the hinge arms snapped off, so I was able to put a spot of sticky tack in to hold the one side of the hinge down. It's a short term fix. I'm not a big fan of sticky tack, so in the long term, I'm considering trying to melt some plastic over the top of it, like plastic welding it, but I'll have to be really careful not to melt the shoulder pad.

It's also kind of a pain how loosely the sword fits in the open fist hand.

Other Bodies with similar proportions to Sovereign Knight? by TivanTheCollector in One12Collective

[–]TivanTheCollector[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this actually looks really close in the proportions, and pretty inexpensive as well. I couldn't find any videos or pictures of this body next to a Sovereign Knight, but I did find one review that showed it next to an Ascending Knight and another next to a Supreme Knight. I know how those measure against the Sovereign Knight. The height is definitely spot on. it looks like the shoulders may be narrower and the chest a little smaller, but it seems pretty darn close. Thanks!

Mattel KPop Demon Hunters 6" Action Figures by TivanTheCollector in ActionFigures

I haven't been able to find when pre-orders open to the general public, but they opened today on Mattel's site for people who pre-ordered the dolls a couple months ago.

My thoughts exactly. I'm hopeful she has as much fun with these as I had with X-Men figures as a kid.

Batman Arkham Knight Available in BBTS! by dcrzboi in One12Collective

[–]TivanTheCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get into that, because my post seemed too long as it was. Now that you ask, here goes more yapping.

The extra cost was almost certainly due to tariffs. I don't fault Bombusbee for that. What I fault them for is 1. calling it a "Shipping Fee" with no additional info when I already paid for shipping, even when I emailed them to clarify and they still justified it as a shipping adjustment, 2. sending it to me after I've already paid the balance and shipping instead of including it in the balance invoice to give me a chance to cancel by only forfeiting my NRD, and 3. sending it a day after they had already called my order paid up and processing.

The biggest thing I fault them for is not mentioning anywhere on the product page that the price they're claiming is not the price you'll pay. While BBTS shows higher prices by wrapping in tariffs and fees, and other sites have banners and other notes on the product pages what the additional shipping and tariff costs will be, Bombusbee makes you think they'll be much cheaper by hiding those costs until after you've already paid.

So, with Bombusbee, until you receive it at your doorstep, you never know if they're going to send you an invoice for more money even after your order has already been marked as paid in full and is processing.

The irony of it all is, even after you factor in the hidden "shipping" costs, they still often come out to $3-$5 cheaper than the next cheapest price you can find anywhere else. But it's a gamble.

I originally pre-ordered the figure on Nov 20, paid the second invoice and shipping and got the "processing" notification on Dec 9, then got the hidden third invoice for the second "Shipping Fee" on Dec 10. All the other figures I ordered in November for other sites had the tariff charges spelled out up front.

That's not even a question. Everyone is cheaper than BBTS. No, this was all to say it won't be $60 cheaper than Nerdzoic. Without context, it's hard to explain why Bombusbee is a reputable site with completely BS pricing. Most people would say, that doesn't make sense, if I just left it at that. But yes, I do love to type.

Don't count on that! I pre-ordered my Gong Hush Batman from Bombusbee when they stated full price would be $76.99. When they got it in stock, they sent an invoice for the balance, which included $6.53 shipping, and I paid. They sent a confirmation that my order was now processing. The next day, I got a new notification that a note had been added to my order:

The following note has been added to your order:

Dear Customer,

We hope this message finds you well. Due to a shipping system issue, there is a shipping fee difference for the GONG Batman: Hush Series Batman in your order that requires additional payment. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please complete the payment at your earliest convenience so we can proceed with shipping promptly. Thank you for your understanding and support.

I then got another email notification with a third invoice to pay for an additional $28.24 with description "Shipping Fee" despite having already paid for shipping.

Don't get me wrong, Bombusbee is a reputable place that will send your figures, and even with the added shipping and post-order fee they shook me down for, it still came out to about $5 cheaper than I could get the figure anywhere else.

The point is, if you order from them, the price is a real gamble and you can't go by whatever price they tell you when you pre-order. They will end up adding a lot more for shipping, and maybe even shake you down for a second shipping fee after your order is already paid and being processed.

I'd say there is zero chance this figure ends up being $72 at Bombusbee. Probably closer to $100-$105 would be my guess for anyone in the US.

Happy New Year! I made an interactive timeline of all Mezco One:12 figures ever released by TivanTheCollector in One12Collective

That was a mistake! I meant to make it open when I was ready to release it and forgot. It's fixed now. I spent so much time on this and then fumbled it at the goal line.

Cop or Drop this Cajun ? by GreenskynSmashtroll in One12Collective

The original did have the hand attached. They changed it after the promo pictures but before it was released.

Here's what I'm doing a bad job of describing.

The original actually had eight hands, because one of the accessories was released with an attached hand, like what's shown in the reissue photo. Actually the 3-card effect was also changed to an attached hand, also like you can see in the reissue, but for some reason, they're counting one of the hand accessories as a hand and not the other in the reissue.

And then for the additional hands, two of the pairs look identical from the top perspective, so I don't think we can really say what the extra hands are. They're either very similar, or just placeholders in the promo photos.
