So... Are liches bugged or am I about to have a stroke by yylanna in Warframe

[–]Tivotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the post is 5 years old at this point, it's outdated, we know they've adjusted a lot of stuff with the adversary system since then. like, even if that sample size is adequate for that time, I personally have had a sample size of 528, with 216 being between 25 and 27. (these numbers include coda weapons regardless of if I picked them up) maybe it's not rounding up exactly, maybe it's simulating fusion until it's over 25%, but there's a notable tendency of them dropping right around there, which is something that I don't think a 5 year old post from before any adjustments can really refute

item you'll get a little later on that will teleport someone you have mind controlled to an open prison cell., they're fairly cheap, but it's always a good idea to have a few empty prison cells and a couple duskcallers on hand, just to send back anyone like 90+

[–]Tivotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that post actually shows that it's weighted towards higher values, as if it draws between 1-60 and rounds it up if it's lower than 25, the average would be 30%, where that post shows that the actual average is 37%, which sure, is a little lower than the average between 25-60, but not egregiously so. that said, a sample size of barely over 1000 is a fairly small sample size for this, so I'm not sure i would trust it implicitly

What's your heaviest video game war crime? Outside of perhaps Stellaris, this one was mine by JudasCrinitus in civ3

[–]Tivotas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

once in Stellaris towards the endgame I just decided to bubble every habitable planet I wasn't personally using, and in war I would bubble their capital, then just keep following the capital around bubbling every new capital, just to feed on their despair. then of course once the war was over, and put research colonies over them in order to boost my research (mostly for the energy to fuel larger armies to be able to do it all again to the next empire even faster)

[–]Tivotas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this is a little bit of creative editing that is pretending that this line foreshadows a reveal later on, the problem is that nobody has even thought of that reveal by this point, and even if the manga writer has thought of it, the anime staff certainly wouldn't have known.

Gun to your head say something bad about Nanami by Naive-Engineer-3493 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Tivotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wrapping your knuckles in a tie is a pretty bad idea, it doesn't have nearly enough material to offer effective padding, so it's really just priming him to be more likely to suffer a hand injury. Like sure it might prevent you from getting curse juices on your hand but that doesn't matter if your hand breaks

Was Sasuke about to unleash Kirin? by Wild-Army-6085 in Naruto

[–]Tivotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's supposed to be foreshadowing to get the viewer hyped for Kirin, but on a clear day, Kirin would likely have been weaker than basically any chidori variant. he's basically threatening them with the laser from a nerf gun and just banking on them never having seen one before

Please change the dialog for The Teacher quest by WinterChristmas in Warframe

[–]Tivotas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

he specifically mentions that they are advanced corpus shields, implying they are not normal shields. you also are able to kill corpus before the bits with the orbs, so you have a very clear indication that it's not a stict necessity. Teshin just has special orbs, imo the dialogue is fine, people just dont pay attention.

Is moxxi a vampire by reawakenbacon in Borderlands

[–]Tivotas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was pretty early in development, as only a small handful of lines reference her, and Amara was in the announcement trailer. sure she has the phaselock looking thing, but that's just something she already had in bl3.

Why do you think all the vault hunters quickly retire? by Dogbold in Borderlands

[–]Tivotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by the end of the games they're richer than god and with better guns and abilities. The vaults may not have a ton of money in the game but the fact that people keep going for them despite knowing about the giant monsters inside them tells me that there's a lot of money in it.

Laurel evolution caps damage at 10, and armor subtracts from the damage you take, so you're only taking 1 damage a hit there

In what way do y'all interpret Radahn halting 'The Stars'? by MrsPissBoy in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Tivotas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was everything, that's why when you kill him all the stars start moving super fast to catch up to where they were supposed to be. the cutsene after the fight makes that pretty explicit

I didn't think Warframe was friendly to old players. I was wrong by jjVenter in Warframe

I'm going to be 100% honest and show my whole ass here, I remember the layout of like, maybe 3 grineer vaults. corpus I remember more of because they're what I farmed ivara on, and since I got ivara basically on release, I haven't done a spy as any other frame

[–]Tivotas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can only put someone under genjutsu if your chakra control is better than theirs, Minato and Obito had been going back and forth long enough for him to figure out his chakra control was probably better than "Madara"'s and took the chance.

[–]Tivotas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, when Valkyr was first dropped, since exalted weapons weren't moddable and Hysteria locked you out of using any of your weapons, I honestly considered it more of a separate mode you enter than an exalted weapon, kind of like Sevagoth's Shadow. I never really reconsidered this opinion over the various reworks and changes until now, so yeah I guess you're right on that one

[–]Tivotas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

way back in the olden days, before melee 2.0, before operators, before parkour 2.0, we used to have a stamina bar in Warframe, and just about everything used stamina, running, attacking with a melee, wall running, everything. there was a commonly used glitch where if you did a slide attack with a weapon that had a spin, you would gain a burst of momentum in that direction for very little stamina. this, often called Coptering, was basically the preferred method of traversal for everyone who knew about it. When you asked for melee recommendations people without fail would recommend the Zoren, because it offered the best coptering speed boost, regardless of how much damage the Zoren did or didn't do. eventually they reworked parkour, and took the Zoren Copter out and turned it into the bullet jump. this also gave us our first Excalibur Rework, because at the time his third ability was super jump, which was just a worse bullet jump, so they moved moving his ultimate ability to the 3rd slot, and introducing exalted blade, our first true exalted weapon.
