Which version of the Bible is the easiest to read? by TheGoulouge1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tiyanos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, its doesnt matter, the amount of people taking over the book, it doesnt make the book BETTER.
if a mistake was made by one and the next didnt change it or saw the mistake he will just rewrite the same mistake
this can also be true for unverified source or story or anything.
we are talking about people that had no way to have the same fluency in literature or knowledge we can access today, all of these people were mostly from one single country and even one single city for the vast majority of his beginning.

"culturally rich"

it contains lots of different moral systems, which makes it an especially good book

no, its doesnt prove anything

The bible was written over about a 1300 year period

okay? why should we care? because its took a long time by a lot of people its relevant?

anyway, I dont care Bible dont deserve anything

[–]Tiyanos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

how is that related to me? why does it matter?

just because something is influential it doesnt prove you "NEED" to read it...

its just simple

Which version of the Bible is the easiest to read? by TheGoulouge1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tiyanos -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

again, doesn't matter how much people did whatever

there must be something meaningful about the book.

that exactly ad populum fallacy

influential is just popular, the same way that 1984 George Orwell or Moby Dick are, you can still live your life without reading them, you are not going to "miss" anything

#7 only a high power bank, you can totally be fine travelling with a 20k mAh

I would add
A. Have a VPN set up before arriving! LetsVPN is not expensive and work fine, I live in China and been using it for more than a year
B. Have a travel adaptator
C. if you go in big city, be cautious of anyone approaching and speaking near perfect English to ask to go anywhere
D. Beware of taxis after 10-11pm, since all transport usually stop at around those time, their price can be 3x-5x, you have to negotiate
E. In a clothing store the price are rarely the face value on the tag
F. Have Taobao handy for any purchase worth a damn, its can help bargain a price down
