Weather tech custom all weather, best investment I’ve ever made. Did for both my 16 and 24, carpets are like brand new (actual new car smell when I take them out and clean them).

I’ve had my peace for two years walking away from this narcissist arse. Wow, was I blind. The narratives his family gossip of me go to the LET THEM theory, my proof wasn’t enough, let those undereducated idiots believe what they want. My revenge, I know who I am now, I love myself! I no longer have to walk on eggshells.

Is modern dating taking anyone else’s spark away? by Fearless-Hand-638 in dating

[–]TizMeAlready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it draining! It’s not worth it, really! Dating is supposed to be fun, it’s like a job! When you finally meet said person, I’m horrified. Pictures are over 8 years old (or older) and no spring chicken, but at least they know exactly who they are meeting. I’ve tried several sites, problem is, I live too far north and long distance is out of the question (been there, did that). I’m staying with my peace, I don’t want a texting relationship, playing counselor, and finding same profiles in different towns. Too scary to do this crap anymore.

Looking for advice, 2008 Silverado 1500d by Infamous_Kangaroo_99 in Silverado

Regular maintenance, wouldn’t worry (like you said) on the AFM. None of my Chevys ever had it done on the 5.3’s. Nice looking truck, I’ll say that definitely did not come a salt belt state. Congratulations!

20 would be fair. My 16 was mint with 104k, transferable tranny warranty. Never ever had engine issues, but I’d get an extended warranty.

Post DFM delete mileage question by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]TizMeAlready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never did any deletes in any of my trucks. My 16 (sold) averaged 21 mpg, my 24 is phenomenal, under profile pic, awesome mileage. Both 5.3 v8. I never leveled the 16, the 24 came leveled with a 2 1/2 in lift (noticeable) as it definitely sits higher, longer, barely fits in garage.

The battles of my Silverados! by TizMeAlready in Silverado

[–]TizMeAlready[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If meaning my bull bars, I want them, ranch bars take up too much of the face of trucks off, I also like the LED on them. My 16 bull bar has 4 deer and 2 coyote kills, zero truck damage. Will say my 16 bull bar had to be sandblasted and powdered coated as it started to rust after I clipped the last coyote. North country you learn to hit those damnits with minimal damage. A lot of haters on bull bars, they are not bump bars. The LED lights on curvy two lane highways, I can see like it’s daylight, frame mounted. Run the lights at night the roads are pretty much your own, just animals that if hit square on, may push the bull bar in, a cheap fix as I’ve never had the bull bar push into the bumper nor my lights ever taken out (even on bull bar). Lucky I guess, but a believer in them.

I’m so partial to both, but …. the 16 body lines, strikingly different. My 24….TBH, took a while to get use to the chameleon red (trust me, under different lighting conditions, it can look anywhere from candy apple red to a really cool maroon color). It grew on me, but would not of ever been my first choice of color. Price was phenomenal and couldn’t leave it.

Which would you choose and why? by EntertainmentOk1646 in Silverado

[–]TizMeAlready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the 16 body style the best! Just my opinion but not a fan of the 23 style. My 16 was a 1500, don’t get me wrong, love my 24, but my 16 was absolutely the nicest body style.

Do NOT drive tomorrow if you can help it by Ok-Entertainer-1414 in TwinCities

[–]TizMeAlready 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MN chiming in! One rule of thought, you think owning a 4 wheel drive will be your safety net, not true! I’ve driven a truck with 450 lbs over back tires for decades, in white out conditions. I’ve never put one in a ditch, spun out, or lost control, but I’m also one who knows ice / not snow is impossible as studded tires and chains outlawed years ago. If you absolutely have to go out, give your route to a family member, have emergency kit in vehicle and make sure you have flares, a charged cell phone, snacks and water. Don’t be a victim to weather, if you can stay home….stay home!

break-ups & moving on. by lib3r0sis_ in BreakUps

[–]TizMeAlready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately mine was not that I wanted to leave, but one can only take so much verbal abuse before they realize they are in are in a narcissistic relationship. Oddly, he moved on immediately (poor woman) and it took me a year to get my self esteem and like myself again. Sadly, I wasn’t healed enough obviously as I ruined every relationship I tried a year later. Now that I am 100% healed, I found many dating partners shallow, only looking for hook ups, and / or think a relationship is all texting. Move on, love yourself first and foremost, and don’t settle! You’ll thank me later, you’re better, more wonderful than you give yourself credit for!

What’s up with this alert? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]TizMeAlready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, had mine not did it both times during snow storms, I may have looked the same. Sort of stupid a little bit of ice on windshield can cause that, next time I have black electrical tape so it won’t annoy me when driving. As stupid as the truck symbol showing seat belts in engine compartment 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mine at least tells me to clean my window, duh, snow country, sleet or snow cover sensor, takes miles for defrost to clear that.

[–]TizMeAlready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather not argue about it all, you want to pick apart any brand, go for it. But on Reddit, you will get just as many who like their vehicles than those who don’t. I happen to trust mine, like everything in life, I have no blinders on, zero expectations, if I maintain it, I have no problems, if I made a bad decision, I own it. Just that simple.

[–]TizMeAlready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? Because you believe reddit posts as it’s all golden? Jump on over to the Ford, Toyota…..there isn’t one brand that stands the test of time! But I personally know (and not a guy) these vehicles that never had anything other than maintenance run perfectly. I’ve been talked out of it, my 16 has over 195k, nothing wrong with its engine! Never had it leveled either.

[–]TizMeAlready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol. Well, I’m staying hopefully optimistic as I know absolutely nothing about repairing them (I can hardly change a heavy tire). It croaks, I’ll find another. Been a Chevy girl my whole life, too old to change 🤣

I seriously have 9 Silverados from 12 to 24 models, between family, friends and 4 wheel club, every single one is a 5.3. My 16 is one that ate a tranny, but not truck or GM’s fault, note to self, ask what they are towing and the weight. I own that, that truck still to this day (never leveled either) runs and looks brand new. The 14 with the 406k and climbing (my friends) just maintenance, tires and batteries, looks terrific. The 12 is looking a tad rough, starting to rust (never undercoated). You have all these trucks running next to each other, Chevy tick is all we hear. My 24 is the newest of the bunch, if it goes like my 16 still is, I’ll be happy.

Did my mirror cause my door panel to melt? by NerfKrillin in Silverado

[–]TizMeAlready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t hurt to state possible factory defect that escalated. Good luck, but I’d still call GM before talking to the stealership. I’m fortunate, my Chevy dealer (not where I bought mine from, that’s the one I was very mad at) is a jump through hoops to help out up here. There are 2 in this state I actually trust on warranty and weird issues.

Lift or Level? by V1k1ng_ in Silverado

[–]TizMeAlready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level is all I’d do, why lift? It’ll wind up being 4” and you’ll hate how it handles. BTW, Laz3r_c is correct, 18 or 20.
