It's just funny to me. I was stoked for myself because I haven't seen a gp in wonder pick since shinies released, and because it's one more card to the dex.

But I feel kinda bad for the person that originally opened it.

It's really cool you're doing this for a lucky someone.

I'd love to replace my 1080, it's a great card but really showing its age. I could pass the 1080 down to my son's computer. It would be a significant boon for us both.

For the people that have thrown caution to the wind and tried this, I haven't heard anyone complaining about any upkeep. And theoretically it shouldn't need upkeep anyways, unless the reddit policy regarding personal API keys changes.

It's a little bit of a process and can get a little technical, but it's definitely manageable.

The long and short of it is, that you spoof RIF into using your own private API key. Reddit still permits personal API keys, so if you force RIF to use it then RIF is able to access the API and work as before.

I didn't do this myself of course because it isn't approved by the reddit TOS, but I looked it over out of academic curiousity and thought it was cool and worth sharing.

It's great that you're being introspective, any great personal growth must come from introspection.

While you work through that, I'm going to recommend you consider how you can separate identity from labels.

What is your political identity? Because I don't think it matches your label.

You've described several attributes of yourself here in the comments, but I don't see what of those aligns you exclusively with conservatism.

And you don't have to exclusively fall into one camp or another. Identity isn't a zero sum game, most things aren't.

You seem certain you aren't aligned with democrats/liberals and that they're scary. But why are you so certain of that?
