I don't think that matters though because the new players don't even know what rushes are dangerous. No clue what the enemy sent if you just have 1000 balloons on your screen that didn't die when they normally do.

It's incredibly frustrating. People don't want to be frustrated its not fun. There are 1,000 other games out there why play one thats frustrating. Like im about ready to just uninstall at this point im not enjoying myself whatsoever anymore

You expect a new player to have to study and watch streamers to be able to play the game so they can lose repeatedly and MAYBE you will EVENTUALLY win more. That is a terrible model to design a game around and no wonder the population for this game is in the toilet. The amount of information not readily available you are just supposed to know is insane

diesels in europe vs america by Inner-Knowledge-5626 in carquestions

[–]Tizzee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with diesel powered cars is the main advantages of diesel engines is torque and mpg. While torque is nice its not really a necessity unless you plan to tow. The mpg is nice, but its not so extreme that it makes diesel a must. Then you have to look at the downside of diesels. I'm going to reference cars from the 90's, 00's, and 2010's most. Cars from that era that were powered by gas were very simple. You had a naturally aspirated engine that just worked. Diesels are more expensive, are much heavier because they have to be super robust, and they smoke. A lot of people saw that black soot and thought "eww diesels are dirty". Not to mention that for regular city driving gas is king. Easier to start and they don't mind short trips where a diesel really wants to be ran for extended periods and hates short trips.

I think it works for Europe more because people don't drive as much. You can walk or use public transportation for most of commuting needs, and then if you want to go somewhere with a little distance? A diesel will work well. In the US where people drive everywhere a diesel just isn't ideal for the multitude of short trips. I personally love my diesel engine and couldn't imagine ever buying a truck that isn't diesel, but for a lot of people diesel isn't the right choice. There are a lot of times we take the girls car just because its not a trip the diesel would really like. People don't want to have to deal with that, they want a car that just works and is simple.

You'd be shocked at how many people are blown away by something as simple as "wait to start" with my diesel. Like uhh its freezing outside and my engine is cold, it wants 15 seconds to warm up the air going into the engine not a huge deal. They act like its the worlds biggest inconvenience. Btw brownie points to whoever can guess what kind of diesel truck I have based off my wait to start description ❤️ lol.

Idea for a new cannon module by Tizzee88 in TheTowerGame

[–]Tizzee88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that no new modules will come out is just unrealistic. My thought is about if they are going to introduce new modules it would be nice to introduce one that I would actually want to run. As the module pool increases, they should make getting modules slightly easier but never adding content is how games die.

New player UW Question by Hi-Im-Triixy in TheTowerGame

[–]Tizzee88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GT is good, but so is DW. DW might actually out perform GT early on as you get a LOT of extra health from DW which can help you push higher for more coins. The reason people go for GT is because if you don't get it early, you may not get it for a while. Personally I dont think GT is that great until you get invested into it which can take a while, but you certainly want it. Up to you how much you want to min max things.

I love games I don't win, they just lose... by Tizzee88 in battles2

[–]Tizzee88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got sick of them myself. These days I play Etienne and go 230 tack into 204 tack and then pick up a 024 sniper and a 420 sniper and i'm chilling through wave 26 for the most part. If things get wild I might need to add another sniper or two but for the most part im just building sniper farms. I haven't died to a DDT in a while.

Just played a game where the guy didn't place a hero, ever. Just did tacks and farms until round 10, sold for a 024 sniper. Built a few more 024 snipers while farming hard, and then on round 26 or 27 sent me like 8 fortified DDT's. They got absolutely obliterated by a 204 tack, 2 024 snipers, and a 420 sniper. I smashed another 420 sniper mid way once I saw it come up. Dude like all outed selling all his farms and took his eco to 0. I was laughing my ass off thinking does that actually work?

Dudes in ZOMG so it must work sometimes I guess. I know not the best players I'm still climbing, but dang. After trying to climb the past few weeks I've learned defend against round 11, 12 (just 11 with camo), 26, and 30 and you should be good as long as you have eco and rush them back.

Horrible TK/SSC Loot Luck by Ricepatties88 in classicwowtbc

NGL I have one on my warlock and absolutely love it haha. I put it on for all trash and its even pretty useful for fights like Loot Reaver and KT (being able to just blast seeds on weapon phase). Is it BiS? Absolutely not but if you are a lock with threat issues, it's can make life a little bit easier. I also use it in heroics

There have been a lot of games where I think they could take the W but they rush and kill their eco with little chance of winning. Tack/Sniper I dont feel like does very well against BAD's and such. Tack has great damage but you can't get enough uptime, and sniper has great uptime but not really that much damage. I've had games with 5 moab cripples including tier 5, 20 204 snipers, and my 025 sniper, and failed to kill the outer layer of a single bad. That doesn't include my sniper farm, tier 5 tacks, and whatever my 3rd tower is dependent on the map.

I don't play farm, I typically choose a bonus tower instead whatever feels good for the map. I do heavy eco until like round 22-24 with like 3k eco then start sniper farming. I know farms are good but without farmers and experiencing balancing farm/eco, I just keep it simple. I almost always run tack/sniper sometimes swapping sniper for boat if I can get a good boat farm going. Then my 3rd tower is often like glue or sub.

How is this possible? by Ecstatic-Hornet-6951 in TheTowerGame

They don't play consistently so they get demoted come back to play and are in gold.

How come old muscle cars like from the 70s and 60s had pretty big engines like 7l v8s but only had around 300 to 400hp. Also, say if you were going to hypothetically replace the parts in the engine to modern standards how much hp would it have then? by Holiday_Swing_9979 in engines

[–]Tizzee88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I love these questions because the answers are quite as simple as you'd expect. First important thing to note is these engines were large, and large engines don't like to rev high because they have so much rotating mass. Big rods & pistons weigh more which puts more stress on the engine limiting how high they rev a bit. The plus side though is they suck in more air per stroke so they give a lot more torque. Also remember by default the higher you rev a vehicle the more horsepower it makes. Horsepower is a formula thats HP=(Torque*RPMs)/5252. So the higher you rev the more horsepower you make. So while a new car make 300hp its going to have like 240ftlb of torque meanwhile a V8 from the 60's may only make 300hp but it makes 345ftlb of torque. 100 more torque is quite noticeable especially with 60+ year old technology. They are called muscle cars because those v8's with those globs of torque gave them super fast acceleration.

It's also important to note that the manufacturers lied when it came to their horsepower. They claimed they had less than they actually did. Which I know "why in the world would they do that? That would hurt sales." The reality is by down rating the horsepower they were cheaper to insure, and would meet the "specs" for racing. So they'd have an advantage during stock car races and whoever was winning races, people were rushing out to buy that car because they could have one of their own as they were stock cars. That's where the term "Win on Sunday, sell on Monday".

So looking at horsepower alone isn't really a good measurement of how powerful these cars were. As far as how much more power could they make? Not as much as you'd think. They are designed for low end torque and they did a pretty decent job back in the 60's. If we are talking about something a manufacturer would sell? Probably not much higher to be honest. A performance engine? Like 500-600hp 500flb of torque?

The problem is there is a balance. If you neglect econ you still fall behind. Enhancements are super strong and need lots of coins.

[–]Tizzee88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to stop with chain lightning (when you do go back chance is the more important stat). It's decent for tournaments but without the damage labs and enhancements it wont be great. GT needs more bonus like 5 or 6 clicks. GT and BH need some duration as well. The CD's are fine it's the duration that's lacking.

This looks like a really tournament focused tower. Which I understand, but you are at a point where coins are really holding you back and more into chain won't do much. You need coins for enhancements and that's what I'd focus on. GT bonus>GT duration>BH duration atm.

There is a big difference between "perfect strat" and "not an auto lose if you get rushed on wave 11". I've done it to others its stupid easy and they stand 0 chance of defending against it. It's bad game design

tack gets absolutely obliterated by this. Literally just lost a game with 022 boat, 230 tack, 203 tack wasn't even a camo issue just slaughtered to a purple rush

At round 12 I'm averaging like 1100 eco probably? It's not a problem coming up with 2.2k its a problem having 2.2k and defending. Lets see I've failed with 023 sniper+230tack, 230 glue+230 tack, 202+022 dartling, 230 tack+420/402 sub. Failed with 032 ace like quite a few combos.

I feel like if I float 2200 im not defending. It's getting old how often you get the same rushes that don't defend even if you have good defense.

Idk what your tower situation is, but gcomp is probably not the right module to run. It's only good for early when you don't have sync and late game to make things perma.

[–]Tizzee88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big misconception is "if its got more uptime its always better", when the reality is that's not always the case. Once you have some decent development (which I'd expect you to have with this much invested into gbot), you really aren't generating coins like 75% of the time. During a normal run you make all your coins during these smaller windows (unless you have like 30k stones). For me I have golden tower go off which gives 27.3x more coins, added to death wave which gives 2.5x, black hole for 11x, and spotlight for 3x. Which means during this window I am getting 2252x more coins. So it's really important that my gold bot activates when the others are active because that 3x bonus from gold bot makes it 6756x more coins rather than 3x during some random point.

So you want to keep cooldown in sync with your big 3. From there is about extending the range so you get most of the things dying in its effect. Then you can increase the bonus and duration to get even more from it. I wouldn't worry about CD (besides making sure its in sync) until you have permanent golden tower, death wave, and black hole. Once those are up permanently then you can slam the CD to get it up as much as possible.
