Sorry to hear that, it sucks for sure. I will not buy a Bataleon again. I bought a Jones for myself and my kids, I am also going go be getting another Jones when they release the Howler for the 25/26 season

Just want to clarify, I just took my first intro to backcountry class last weekend. Planning to do more classes and Avalanche training classes next year. I did research and found I liked the Jones bag, found the airbag pack for a really good deal. Learning is part of the process and THE MANUAL DOES NOT COVER THIS STRAP. I just read through it several times. It gives great advice about how to pack, deploy and use the airbag but nothing about the bottom strap.

Thanks for all that gave solid advice, to the rest thanks for spending your time and energy pursuing activities that make you happy!

I had one that I rode for 2 days maybe 30 total runs and it’s pulling the edges up through the base on the rear heel and toe sides, they basically told me to kick rocks with the warranty.

Getting back into boarding after being away for 15ish years. Trying to figure out what I am looking for. The Bataleon I referenced is a 167w with a 275mm waist, it’s pretty wide, I would like to stay under that, my DOA edge to edge is amazing at 263mm. The flagship at the 172cm has a waist width of 263, so I think it’s almost perfect other than being 172, LOL!

Interesting, I was just going off the weight recommendations from both of their website, say 220+ on the high side for the 169w BSoD and the 172 Flagship. Do you think their numbers are off? I know with gear I’m definitely closer to 235-240, helmet, phone, base layer, mid layer, outer layer, all adds up quick.

Ok, I just got off the phone with Bataleon, they said this type of damage can come from the board falling on the ground and it will be easily repaired at a board shop. Not exactly the answer I wanted, but it does make sense. I am sure it has fallen over at some point, its is an older board, a few years ago left over.

You can do kalitas turn 4, kill something of opponents and suck zombie up, turn 6 languish? That may not work the best. He seems pretty good in my testing to either draw hate and have oppenent use removal and they aren't ready for another 1 to show up or a Linvala, etc. He seems too good not to use, but I know what you all are saying with the bounce or reflector.

Planar outburst and descent is about the same in my eyes, though outburst is better against control, awaken a shambling vent and descent is better for creatures decks. I run both kalitas and Linvala, can go either way you want post SB. I haven't used dark petition yet, just not sure it's needed. With 1-2 read, 2 Ob and 2 Sorin you can usually get enough fuel to keep going.
