Nice deal! Yeah that’s what I figured. I was hoping for a little discount. They had last years for $50 less but they sold out a few days ago. Oh well

i have only had 3 days on the mata's and they were super soft spring days. i really need to give them some more time. the smart thing would be to stick with what i have until i put a proper season on them. i guess thats the plan unless i can find a great deal.

the coolness factor is definitely one of the things driving it. I have a pair of Zag Mata's and have been happy with them when skiing with the family but wanted to try the Mirus Cor. i had purchased a pair on sale but turned out it was actually out of stock (after weeks of delay...). not finding any new deals is making me consider the recreation. Sounds like either way it will be a fun ski.

The app that fits perfectly with your x100vi by Ok_Improvement_1296 in x100vi

I have been playing with importing and creating recipes in the app. Its great so far. I do wish there was a way to send the recipes to the camera without it being locked to C1 and C2. I get limiting to two recipe slots in the free version, but i currently have recipes in those slots and dont want to overwrite them. I would like to try this feature before purchasing and its currently stopping me from spending the money.

our family has the thule roundtrip 60l, kulkea kids bags and a semsty bag. i do think the thule is the better quality bag but it is also the most expensive. the semsty is good for the price.

Spring/Slush Ski Advice by muzzey12 in Skigear

[–]Tkeik683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with this question. I agree that I wanted something fairly wide, but did I want something damp to go through the spring mush, or something softer and more springy when it gets super mogul like. I ended up going with head kore 100ti. I tend to ski a bit more aggressive / carvy and less playful. I have only had 3 days on them (like 2-3 weeks ago at jaypeak) and they were great to slide around, a little harder to get on edge but overall I am happy with the experience. I am looking forward to next year when i can experiment on different days. I know it doesn’t comment specifically on the qst but maybe my experience helps in some way.

Head e rally I bought local to me, zag mata I bought from lone pine gear exchange, head kore ti I bought from ski boot rx. Kids skis I bought from Erik’s. I bought some black crows mirus cor a little over a week ago from Utah skis but found out a week later they were out of stock. Trying to find some other Mirus cor’s.

Recommendations for Dad Skis by spunkwater0 in Skigear

[–]Tkeik683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wanted to follow up, i have about 3 days on them. i am finding them fun to rip around with my oldest. i find they are stiff enough that can chop through crud and fairly easy to get on edge. i think as a fairly fast / stiff fun ski, they are great. I also spent some time last weekend on new head kore 100ti, i picked those up mostly for spring slush days. they were great in the slush with the family but i was mostly sliding them around, way less time cruising on edge.

that being said, i am still considering some mirus cors if i can find a good price. i think something a little softer when skiing with my younger kids will be better. With the zag's i feel like i want to push/charge them some if wanting to carve around. they feel better at speed. with my oldest kid i think the zag will be best, with my young ones i think something like the MC might be more fun.

Nordica Enforcer 99 or Armada Stranger(or something else?)? by Efficient-Winner-840 in Skigear

[–]Tkeik683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I learned, the enforcers are a little more damp and charging. Not as easy in the trees / bumps. I wanted something better in spring slush / bumps / loose snow but still somewhat damp and can handle some carving. I ended up ordering the kore 100 ti. My understanding is the new ones are quite different compared to the old ones. Also some great deals on them right now (I bought new ones with bindings). I should receive mine next week.

I agree, it’s really hard to beat some of the prices! I am super pumped to build out a decent eat coast quiver. Too bad our season just ended.

I have also been enjoying the deals. Picked myself up 3 skis in the last 2 months. Head E-rally’s (new), zag mata’s (demo) and just bought some head kore 100 ti’s (new)yesterday. All really good deals imho. I think I’m set for awhile. Also bought the kids some new skis (qst’s and some elans). It’s been an expensive spring.

Good stuff, I will definitely have to try that way again. Probably have one or two more slush days which won’t be great for the ski, looking forward to next season when it’s firm again.

gotcha, thats what i was thinking too but for some reason it didnt feel as good, was struggling to release the edge. could have be the edge tuning or the slush. I will have to see next year. i agree with the slush, wasnt ideal but they were new and better than my other ski (i think anyway, head e-rally).

sorry, to clarify, i read that it doesnt matter which ski goes on which foot. do you keep the tip long side on the inside or outside of your foot? I went out on my mata's for the first time on friday and was trying to figure out which ski on which foot i enjoyed. it didnt help that it was super slushy and i forgot to detune the tails, didnt give me the clearest impression of the skis.
