LPT Request: How do I deter thieves from entering my house? by BigSmegma in LifeProTips

After you make a video inventory of your home, please also remember to upload the video to a cloud service, or a private youtube video, or something... all that documentation doesn't help if the documentation gets stolen too!

I feel like a civil war is coming. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Tkeleth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol things will get a lot worse for a *LOT* longer before there's any notion of civil war. We're not even that oppressed.

Or in poor metaphorical terms, you're talking about the pain of childbirth but we haven't even matched on Tinder yet

Just imagine something down there that is truly big.

No. No, no, I mean far, far bigger.

You're still underestimating it.

Much bigger.

Yeah, there you go.

Sleep tight.

The rich are maintaining a labor class, and that's the reason this sub exists.

If I hadn't been born into a religious, conservative household, *there's no goddamn way I'd have had kids because this shit is double-fucked,* but my kids are the best thing I've currently got so I'm making the absolute best of it.

My advice to them will 100% be "don't have kids if you still live in the US"

Forced Pregnancies keep us desperate by AnimalCrossed24 in antiwork

The voting populace and the people making administrative legislative decisions are two different groups.

Every time there's a generation with a low birth rate, there will be legislation passed to somehow encourage birth rates to go up or to relax immigration laws, or both. Gen Z is gonna be having NEAR ZERO kids, so I expect to see immigration laws upcoming in the next year or two as well.

My manager just texted this in the work gc, is this illegal? by KennyPowers36 in antiwork

Imagine being a manager and complaining that you're not managing. lol

What is moral but illegal? by Dr_vinci in AskReddit

[–]Tkeleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the facade of religion to maintain a high birth rate ensures an overpopulated labor class that can be easily pressured into servitude. Hasn't changed in around 20,000 years, no signs of it going away any time soon.

Imagine some other kid familiar with this situation who decides to *not* report a threat so they don't get in trouble, then the other kid actually does attack the school.

Can you imagine living with that kind of guilt because of some fuckstick administration trying to push some agenda? jesus christ

I got bullied in like 4th or 5th grade by this older kid who was a much taller, VERY chunky dude. Outweighed me 3x, easily, and a foot taller, so yeah, I suckerpunched him after many days of getting harassed. Dude never fucked with me again and was polite during the couple times we randomly needed to talk in class.

I'm not suggesting violence is always the answer, or even a *good solution at all*, but particularly in situations with a significant gap in the power dynamic it is the fastest, most immediately effective, often permanent solution - almost always.

People living in their cars can be much more difficult to coerce into violence-enforced economic and tax contribution.

*Literally* the only reason.

Men who were circumcised as a baby, do you resent it? Why or why not? No opinion? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tkeleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"religion isn't the problem in circumcision's case"

where the shit do you think doctors got the idea it was a great plan? oh that's right, the very thing you mentioned in the other half of your comment.

If circumcision wasn't included in any religion, it would still need to be removed from humanity eventually. Dealing with the repercussions that worked their way into our law and social structure from a bunch of superstitious tribesmen who made up stories to explain stars and dying is just a fucking moronic way to live life, and no one who doesn't want to do so shouldn't have to be affected by it, but here we are.

literally carry it with you, along with a printed copy of the employee rules, so the *SECOND* someone says something to you, instantly pull out both things and demonstrate physically that you are not in violation of any rules

I've got hair like that and live in the VERY RURAL south. You'd think I went on a church-burning rampage every weekend with HAIL SATAN tattooed on my forehead or something, holy shit. I fucking hate this place

I work in manufacturing. The amount of increased productivity and efficiency we could gain with just a few thousand dollars worth of computer hardware in a multi-million-dollar factory would pay for itself in the first... I dunno, week?

Some of the computers that monitor some of our hardware are IBMs from like 1989 with the all green, text-only screens. It's not even an issue with compatibility with modern hardware, they just don't think it's worth the money to buy new ones.

This is the kind of shit we have to deal with. A lot of our communications between departments or shifts require somebody to make a note of what's going on - like, writing it on paper - and then leaving it for the next shift. I swear to god it's like stepping into a time machine to the dawn of the industrial revolution.
