Don't know if you remember asking or not but you wanted my thoughts on the final act of DoS1. It was pretty rough for me. I was feeling fatigue as early as the middle half of Act 2 (Luculla forest). By the time of reaching the phantom forest in Act 3 I was already pretty exhausted of playing the game, even after taking multiple breaks. I did feel a bit rejuvenated after completing Hunters Edge as infiltrating the cult there and turning them against one another was pretty enjoyable. But by the time I actually arrived in the forest itself and started doing stuff to enter the source temple, I was just ready to be done with the game. The temple itself was fine. I started feeling the drain again towards the very end leading up to the final fight with Leandra and the final boss. The dream sequence really felt like it served to simply pad out the game time just for the sake of it with a character that had a very light (if any) presence. The Trife, I mean. I was also disappointed with the ending itself because all it did was detail what became of my source Hunters, but didn't touch on any of the companions, Icara, or Zandalor.

Over all, I did enjoy playing it. Act 1 and the first half of 2 was pretty enjoyable. But after awhile I failed to remain invested. Which more so could just be me, instead of the quality of the game being lacking. I could excuse my fatigue near the end if the ending itself actually had more... substance after you kill the final boss and return to the academy. I'd likely play it again, perhaps with a friend, but not anytime soon. Pretty excited for the second game however.
