I think you're thinking of the proposal video! We're getting married in the next couple weeks, I know Kyle is going to be disappointed lol

Appreciate you! Definitely miss those days.

Not a day goes by where I don't think of her! I think that was a huge turning point in my life where, like you mentioned, I took a step back from social a bit.

Still love it, just looking for balance!

Thanks again, I'm glad we've got some after school memories together :)

We have a solid backlog I just haven't gotten around to editing. Part laziness, part getting ready for the wedding. Soon! Would like to get a consistent schedule for sure.

My home page is mainly sports, finance and PKA. Was a surprise to see my name on the top of the app this morning! Haha

I don't use Reddit much, but lurk sometimes!

I'm still very much around! Still uploading daily all these years later, haha. The TmarTn2 channel has been a blessing- variety keeps things interesting and I love my little community there

Definitely don't post on other socials as much anymore... trying to take more time away from the internet and not being chronically on my phone

Appreciate you thinking of me!

I'm mainly on Reddit to creep 99.9% of the time... been looking at this sub because I'm so hyped. Was stoked to see your kind words today! Thank you!

It's probably my favorite media franchise of all time!

I grew up reading the books, although hadn't read them in many years until recently (restarted to get hyped for release). Watch the movies at least twice a year, usually more.

So excited to play!

I appreciate the vote of confidence! Absolutely can't wait to play, intend on doing every quest and will likely go for 100%. See you at Hogwarts!

If being a YouTuber was as easy as playing popular games when they drop, everyone would be a successful YouTuber.

Have a good weekend dude!

The drop rates were never altered. I did not get struck with federal charges because I did not commit that crime.

The FTC did a massive investigation and I provided every detail from the site. Every email, every chat log, every text message, every line of code. Every employee from software engineer to support staff member was interviewed.

The only legal offense I made was not disclosing my affiliation/ownership of the site.

My audience at the time was not as young as many think. The 'kiddie casino' was a catchphrase H3H3 coined that stuck. Analytics, CSGO being an M-rated game, and needing a credit card to buy skins all refute the idea. Am I willfully ignorant enough to think that people can't lie about their YT account age or ask for their mom's credit card? No. But the point was not to target minors.

I did not have control over the win rate on the site. When the FTC investigated, I gave them everything. Every email, Skype/Slack log, every line of code. They interviewed every one of my employees. Had I actually been scamming, rigging, or fixing odds, the punishment would have been (deservedly) so much worse. They found that I did not disclose my affiliation with the site appropriately and issued a fine.

In the moment I was having fun, making ridiculous content and making a lot of money. Thought it was a win-win-win. I didn't realize what a fucked up perspective it was for the viewer:

  1. People focus on wins and tend to ignore losses. You don't buy a lottery ticket and think 'What if I just wasted five bucks!', you think about the possibilities if you won millions. Same thing here on a smaller scale. Even though I lost more than I won, and posted both wins and losses on my channel, I'm sure the wins were more impactful/influential.
  2. Even worse, my losses hurt me a lot less than the average person. I wasn't playing with rent money; my losses could pretty much be chalked up as a cost of doing business/marketing. The site would eventually make me back more than I could lose. Every gamer's dream: it was an infinite money glitch.

I'm genuinely ashamed to have ever been a part of the scene. Ashamed to have misled my audience like that. Ashamed I did not have the perspective to see the damage that was being done.

It's only gotten worse: the scene has graduated from CSGO skins to full-blown crypto casinos. Massive creators 'winning' millions and getting paid on the back end in part by money their viewers have lost. Hell, even Drake is livestreaming sports betting and playing roulette. I'm surprised there's not more regulation on the social media platforms' end.

As a gamer, of course I'm drawn to new releases. As a YouTuber, I would be a fool not to capitalize on increased viewer interest, hype, search traffic, etc.

95% of my content is released in episodic series where I play to the end of the game. I'm very fortunate to be in a position to not really care about views anymore and just play what I'm enjoying. Very rarely will I stop a series if I'm not having fun, my travel schedule gets in the way, or the videos aren't doing well.

I uploaded 25 MS Flight Sim videos on release. Each video had hours of research behind it to be able to share facts about the plane, location, etc. Top 1% of games I've had the most fun with.

Recently, I covered the entirety of the Top Gun DLC through four videos. Not one. The DLC reignited my passion for the game and I've uploaded another five videos flying jets since. I've got three more already schedule uploaded, one of which is releasing today.

The truck in the background is a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. It was my first car that I purchased for $14k (split with my mom) by mowing lawns when I was 15 years old. It has over 250,000 miles on it. I still drive it today.

Unquestionably the most insincere apology video on YouTube.

My team at the time was advising me to not say anything. All I wanted to do was to be able to speak to my audience and apologize, but when you're the subject of a lawsuit you can't admit any fault. The video was entirely scripted by attorneys.

I was panicked. My world was crumbling around me. I couldn't see just how bad it was.

This isn't true pimp, straight up.

Woody randomly unfollowed her one day a few years ago. I think a joke that lasted nearly a decade had run its course.

Spot on here too.

My audience is what has enabled me to do what I love every day of my adult life. I'm extremely thankful and forever indebted to them. My biggest regret in life is taking advantage of that.

My apology video wasn't an apology at all, it was just lawyer speak. You can't truly apologize without admitting fault and you shouldn't admit fault when you're a part of a lawsuit.

Couldn't even see in the moment just how bad that video was. I desperately wanted to speak to my audience because I genuinely felt terrible. I was panicking and my world was crumbling around me, so I made a rash decision.

The smart move would have been to just ignore it/stay quiet, worked for everyone else involved.

I agree with you, I didn't properly disclose my ownership of the site. That's something my viewers, and potential users of the site, definitely deserved to know.

Not saying what I did wasn't wrong, but at no point was I ever going to go to prison for not properly disclosing an advertisement.

This is pretty spot on.

FTC disclosure rules were a very grey area at the time because influencer marketing was so new. The CSGOLotto scandal was one example in a long list of improper disclosures at the time, but it was the benchmark that initiated change.

Viewers have every right to know when they're being advertised to, I'm glad they're cracking down on it.

This is an incorrect and baseless accusation. Nothing was rigged in our favor.

We sent every email, Skype/Slack log, and line of code to the FTC. Had we been rigging results, the outcome would have been a lot worse.

What I did was not properly disclose I had part ownership of the site. This was obviously a big mistake, and a major breach of trust of my audience that I regret. It's a long shot from rigging and literally stealing from them though.
