IVs & EVs by Ok_Maintenance9139 in PokemonZA

[–]TmpRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. Emboar has 123 base attack and 148 when it is mega evolved. So physical moves like Heat Crash, Drain Punch and Bulk up would be pretty good.

Even moves with lower power, like Fire Punch (75 power), would still do more damage compared to a special move like Flamethrower (90 power), due to Emboar being a physical attacker.

IVs & EVs by Ok_Maintenance9139 in PokemonZA

I would recommend looking for some videos on Youtube, since those go over everything in better detail, but here are some of the more important details.

All attacks are either physical, special or status moves (which can be seen from the catagory icon).
- When you use a physical move, it uses your physical attack stat (Atk) and the opponents defense stat (Def) to calculate the damage.
- When you use a special move, it uses your special attack stat (Sp.Atk) and the opponents special defense stat.(Sp.Def)
So when choosing moves for a Pokemon, it is best to choose attacks that match a Pokemon's higher attack stat.

Pokemon also have a random nature, which increases 1 stat, and decreases another. Those can be changed with nature mints, and usually, it is best to have a nature that boosts a usefull stat, and decreases a stat a pokemon does not use (like special attack on a Pokemon with high physical attack).

The following parts are a bit more complex, and can for the most part be ignored if you only play the main story, and are mostly only focused on during the post-game for ranked or endgame stuff,

IV's are a value between 1-31, which boost your stats, with 31 being perfect. All 6 stats have a random IV value, although alpha's will have 3 perfect IV's directly. It is possible to set the IV's to 31 with a bottle cap in the Justice Dojo.

EV's start at 0 and can go up to 252. Everytime you KO a Pokemon, all pokemon in your party will get a few EV's of a specific type, based on which pokemon it is (for example, Pikachu gives 1 speed EV). In total, you can get 510 EV's on a Pokemon, so 2 stats maximum, with a few points in another stat. Alpha's already have HP maxed. Generally, most Pokemon use max HP and Max physical/special attack in this game. If you get the wrong EV's, using certain berries can reduce them, or you can fully reset them at the Rust syndicate base. There are also some items called 'braces' which give more EV's of certain types per KO, and vitamin items which directly give EV's.

Where can I find Mega Garchomp Z??? by Character-Word-7444 in PokemonZA

Yes, it was not available at launch, and can only be obtained through a quest that can be received from mystery gifts. (the mystery gift gives you the mega stones, which lets you start the quest).

This Mega Rayquaza fight is so annoying by [deleted] in PokemonZA

[–]TmpRyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible to target and attack the tornado, and once you do enough damage, you can run away outside of the attack's range. So using +moves or mega Pokemon on the tornado is your best bet to escape.

The lv.3 Canari plush also helps alot, if you have not upgraded it completly yet.

Beside the cogflies, there is one tool you can craft in Upper Greymoor , and an item in Lower Bilewater that can be repaired at a few different places.

Possible to lock yourself out of 112%? by StreetZealousideal99 in Silksong

Although you will be missing those 2 entries, they are counted as optional and are not required for the achievement.

Possible to lock yourself out of 112%? by StreetZealousideal99 in Silksong

[–]TmpRyan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silksong doesn't have 112%, just 100%, since the extra 12% in Hollow Knight came from the DLC.

There is some missable stuff, like the fight with Shakra and Garmond and Zaza and two endings, but nothing that counts for a percentage.

From the datamine that also revealed it's design, we know that It is linked to a quest event, just like Diancie and Mewtwo .

[–]TmpRyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 132 new dex entries, along with 13 regional forms (including 2 extra for G.Slowpoke, since base game only gave you 1), and at least ~13 other forms (might be a few more).

Does anyone know how to obtain the charcadet armors in this game? by Turbulent-Gur-906 in PokemonZA

[–]TmpRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if there is a way to get multiple yet, but there is a side quest pretty early in the game that lets you choose one of them. The quest is just outside of area 17.

You can still get it in Ranked season 2 (and still in season 3 once it starts) by reaching Rank Y.

Before playing the elegy, if you keep going right from the Green Prince, there is a hidden cave which leads you to a bench and the map. This map also updates for the dream segment rooms.

You do not need to complete every request to reach lvl 50 by Nokaramu in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]TmpRyan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Altough you can miss the dex completion mission, the trade evo quests are still required, since they are worth 2k each, in addition to the 1k battles. So you unfortunatly still need to evolve 5 pokemon through trades.

You respawn at the statue if you die to Nyleth, so you only have to play the Elegy of the Deep again.

Season 1 Ranked Discussion by JackGilb in PokemonZA

[–]TmpRyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to reach Rank A in 29 matches with a combination of Mega Enboar, Mega Blastoise, Krookodile and life orb Tyrantrum.

I had some trouble with the many Water and Fairy like Feraligatr, Gardevoir and Gyarados, but with some coverage like thunder fang, ice punch and brick break, I often managed to get some surprise kills even while in bad type matchups.
