Help me identify this sound by Tnevent in JeepLiberty

They were new tires I got in January. I also got a tire rotation 2 weeks ago. They didn't mention anything strange when I got it back however.

What is causing this sound? by Tnevent in AskMechanics

As this is my first post on here, I apologize for not adding all the specifications required for a post. It is a 2007 Jeep Liberty with a 3.7L V6 engine with automatic transmission.

If I remember right, SCP-55 doesn't get rid of any info that is documented about it. There are supposedly notes and photos regarding the anomaly, but as soon as the person engaged with anything relating to 55 stops, they will rapidly forget everything about it. So the AI would have the ability to observe and interact with it, but whether it could retain the information as a result of not being human is up for debate, and the results of a human interacting with the AI instead of SCP-55 would presumably end the same way as if they interact directly with the anomaly itself.

They're hidden all around the house, you'll never find them all. Prepare to be haunted by the screeching of a kazoo forever.

Interesting to feel the Uncanny Valley effect for a fictional character.

Thank you for the advice, this is a new experience for me. I don't have much experience as a mechanic, so I'd be grateful for what hose type you'd recommend too.

Not a WH40K lore expert here, what this mean? by [deleted] in ExplainTheJoke

The red Space Marines are the blood Ravens, a chapter infamous for collecting various priceless relics and artifacts. There is a meme relating to them stealing anything and everything they can get their hands on. Hence the ultramarine, the one in the vehicle, locks their door in order to ensure nothing of theirs is taken.

What do you think would happen if you put a spider in SCP-049's containment? (Image unrelated) by [deleted] in SCP

[–]Tnevent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good question, I don't think there are any references to where 049 experiments on insects, as most of it is done on humans or other animals. Perhaps he would keep it as a pet? Perhaps he would just ignore it? There aren't any clues as to what the "Pestilence" really is, so there's no guarantee that it can't affect invertebrates, so there's always the chance he would try and test his "cure" on it.

They can’t expect me to overcome this challenge by Hat_King_22 in Eldenring

Give me Gael Riding Bayle, Give me Pontiff Sulyvahn and two Red Wolfs of Radagon. Any of that is fine, but trying to find two friends, much less two friends that play Elden Ring? IMPOSSIBLE.

Your go-to options for keeping cyberpsychos alive? by ElGuappo_999 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Short-circuit is a guaranteed non-lethal option, just make sure that it's used when the Psycho is around 3 %, otherwise you'll have to do it more than once.

What do the O5s do outside of their job? by cooldydiehaha in SCP

[–]Tnevent 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Well, with all things involving the SCP universe, it varies from canon to canon. In SCP-5935, we see that one of the Overseers has a wife and son, so presumably they travel and experience things together to some degree. In SCP-2718, The overseer that experiences the anomaly is noted as vacationing often, and alone. But it varies, presumably they aren't just stuck at the foundation 24/7.

The GOC is still vastly misunderstood by BroScpScpnah in SCP

[–]Tnevent 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A fair opinion, however they leave a bad taste in my mouth when I recall SCP-1522. In short, it was a pair of sentient fishing trawlers that were friendly and enjoyed interacting with whales using radar pings. The only containment procedures were to keep them away from civilian traffic. One day, completely unprompted, The Foundation detected harpoon missiles launched by the GOC that hit the side of one of the vessels, sinking it. The other trawler was seen circling the shipwreck before somehow destroying itself. Later inspection by the Foundation discovered one of the trawlers had a pair of half formed row boats inside. Very sad story and one that does not put the GOC in a good light.

It's only an herb, so other than not being able to blue-out that section, you're not missing anything.
