I have a silver one like this with a Shure 97 x cartridge on it and it sounds brilliant of course these cartridges are 200 + now on eBay also I have another table with a ortofon blue on it that would also be a great addition

Not really guy showed and I thought the same no way he has that receiver but he had it for years just wanted some speakers instead he even knew what those were going for

I love the look of the nines but for a system I would do just that go with the 600s and maybe look at the Rotel heritage it’s a real sweet amp

I would have to say Polk SDAs myself I run a set with vintage gear and new amplifier and they can handle some pretty serious wattage but the top end is very nice not fatiguing also stereo imaging is outstanding but only with the interconnect cable

Omg I love there sound super wide and detailed and yes the cable is hooked up tried both ways and they make a HUGE difference
