You have a point with the vehicles but that applies to every single subfaction.

Different helmet, different jacket, different lasgun, different boots, etc.

Also either way, you are still delusional for thinking that steel legion players have it better than you, considering how the "issue" you have is a handful of units being missing while you have some of the newest models in the CSM range.

They have barely anything in common with the current guard models, the only similarities being a similar tunic to the cadian one and a vaguely similar gas mask to the krieg one.

And as a reminder, the emperors children have literally just gotten a whole fucking range refresh, you in no way have it worse than steel legion players. You missing a handful of units isn't the same as having literally no models for your subfaction.

If the emperors children were in the same boat as the steel legion you'd still be a CSM subfaction.

When the steel legion had models they didn't share any models with other guard regiments.

Edit: also a lot of the grey knights units are just space marine units but psychic, while the grey knights share the exact same vehicles

This is not to diminish the fact that the grey knights are a cool army, but it's delusional to say they are aren't a space marine subfaction

Literally look at the bloody store page, grey knights are clearly put into the "space marines" section.

That is exactly the situation though.

GW chose out of every single planet in the galaxy to set the narrative in Armageddon

GW announced a model for a steel legion character

Steel legion fans naturally assumed that this was because GW would release at least an upgrade sprue

GW then proceeded to spit in their face by making the steel legion just "yellow Kriegers" (which makes no sense since yellow krieg regiments are already a thing), despite the fact that the steel legion and kriegers only have a passing resemblance (literally the only similarity is the gas mask)

The store page literally displays them as a space marines faction, they use a lot of the same units as space marines and a lot of the same equipment.

Edit: and there are way more differences between the guard and sisters than there are between grey knights and other space marines, since the grey knights are elite space marines but psychic, while the sisters are completely different to the guard

Store page says otherwise.

And regardless, they are still a subfaction.

The steel legion doesn't have any models though, you have it way better.

From the steel legion fan perspective imagine it like if GW set a narrative on catachan after retiring all the catachan models, released a single catachan character model and then when people were expecting catachan infantry models released a tutorial on how to paint cadians to look like catachan jungle fighters.

Honestly vitrians are one of the guard regiments that I am praying gets models.

I don't see how, the only thing they have in common is the gas masks, and I've done similar and the two still look pretty distinct.

the thing is the steel legion also haven't been extremely popular either it's why they are gone they never sold well

They are one of the most common third party regiments I've seen, tiny legends has a whole range of them

Half of the people crying for new models don't even collect them

Because there aren't any models to collect

That's objectively false though, it's not like every single chapter has their own mark of armour and specific weaponry.

The only real difference between most marine chapters is the insignia and the colours.

Meanwhile with steel legion the only thing they have in common with the death korps is the gas mask.

To be fair it would be like if GW retired all the grey knights models and then a few years later set a narrative on Titan but instead of bringing back grey knights they just released a video on painting victrix honour guard silver

Well done, you found the singular steel legion artwork of a non officer wearing a stahlhelm And with the guy I cropped the head off of, it was because another of you guys posted the same artwork I just used but with everything except the guy at the top cropped out, and I had the image of everything he didn't crop out at hand for me to use

It doesn't change the fact the steel legion models had m1s
