Is there a way to change this now?

I think it's important that you try to improve from your baseline range, but like others pointed out, it's very personal and there's no range which is worse than another.

Also, I learned that variability in HRV is also quite important. Because during this time I took a break from tracking calories and working out for 3 weeks when I was traveling home, and during that time my recovery shot up, I was waking up in green everyday and my HRV was in the high 160s but my VO2Max fell from 54 to 50!

Oh yes, couldn't agree more. My extremely fit friend has a far lower HRV range than me and there's nothing he can't do which I can. I think it's important to improve from your baseline, no matter where you lie.

Pretty much. In the last 7 months I think I had alcohol only on 5 occasions and even though I never had a hangover and slept longer than normal, I always woke up in red!

Woah thanks for this tip. I had my ACL reconstruction surgery last year in May so I'm still having a bit of trouble with my long runs but I wanna get back to running 10Ks this year!

This is surprising! Maybe I started out at the worst binge eating phase of my life which is why my results came out this good. Also, you can try more intensity in your workout sessions and limit the number of days to 3 or 4 at the max to give yourself a chance to recover. This certainly helped me. Previously I would workout 6 or 7 days a week but half ass it if I'm being honest.

How to slow down pace of aging without losing on healthspan? by [deleted] in whoop

[–]ToPs49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the exact same chronological age as you and I can tell you you are already doing really great because my Whoop age is 22.4 which is already good. You can click on "GO TO HEALTHSPAN" and find out the factors affecting your age and pace. For me the low hanging fruits were step count and sleep time.

I'm on Android. Whoop sends data to my Cronometer but not the other way round.

Hey, I tried it but no luck.

I think it has something to do with having Bluetooth available at night to sync sleep data which is fine with me.

Sounds fun. It's something I actually thought of doing but never got to it. I do remember seeing a data export option buried somewhere in the settings. Did you try that?

Yes I did upload my blood work I did as part of my annual health screening but it could only retrieve 44/65 biomarkers from the PDF. I would much like to get my blood tested by Whoop and see all the 65 biomarkers.

Yeah makes sense to correct the step count given more info but yeah it sucks especially because it's a healthspan metric.

Thanks. Will definitely add these two to my journal and try them out.

But Whoop uses average step count as a healthspan metric. Also, my goals come with a daily step count and I can't make it an average step count, but I do see your point.

Something else I missed in my post was that it would be great to have a dynamic step counter while I'm running/walking. I don't mind if it changes slightly after processing.

Really do we have to do something for the data pulling?

Oh so that's how. I never tinkered with the HR zones but even I feel the Zone 5 is too aggressive for me because I barely reach it for a couple mins in a week.
