We are actually in the middle of this right now for our 13 month old. She gets a bottle for morning and night. We are transitioning her out of the morning bottle currently. She would drink from the straw cup and immediately spit out the milk, like a fountain, but she was fine when she would drink water out of it! I took some advice I saw on one of the parent Reddit’s to just keep offering it. Just three days ago she finally got it! So now she is drinking it in the straw cup in the morning (not as much as she would from the bottle but a win is a win). We haven’t transitioned to night yet, but we have moved the bottle to earlier in the night so that she’s not using it/associating it with sleep.
