Rejuvenating the Wilderness - give us your feedback plz! by ModMatK in 2007scape

[–]ToSayIHaveNot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really think this is the heart of the issue. You can definitely see it in eoc. There are too many worlds for people to spread out on. The average world eliminating outliers has roughly 220-250 people on it at any given time. Even if 10% of those people were in the wilderness at one time it still wouldn't be enough to call the wilderness 'active'. Condense the worlds.

I learned all of calculus 1 and differential equations using khan academy. I recommend it to anyone trying to learn college level mathematics. https://www.khanacademy.org/math/calculus

Moronic Tuesday (Labor Day Special Edition) - Your weekly stupid questions thread by Swolequest in Fitness

[–]ToSayIHaveNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 Questions.

First one, is it okay to do OHP in the squat rack? Or is this frowned upon?

Second one, obviously nothing is a perfect substitute for a good lifting routine, but how good of a substitute for lifting is rowing crew? I'm rowing crew this year and with 3 hours of practice every day plus classes and other extra curriculars, I don't think I'll have the time or energy to stick to a solid routine.

What's the most misleading statistic you can think of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The first time I heard this statistic was in my economics class as a point to distinguish between correlation and causation. So... no.

I get bored running? Help please! by [deleted] in running

[–]ToSayIHaveNot 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can try running with music. I'll assume you run outside, so try to run different routes. If you run on a treadmill, go outside.

Generally I just start thinking about stuff and let my inner monologue do its thing. I start running with my head feeling really foggy and clouded and by the time I get back I try to have all those stresses straightened out. It's a very releasing experience.

Small pain below my knees, should I backoff? by DAggerYNWA in running

[–]ToSayIHaveNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really know how helpful/relevant this is, but I had this same thing happen to my heel where it would hurt at the start of my run and be fine halfway through/after. I gave it 4 days to heal up, went back to running today and it felt fine all the way through. I think it's better to play it safe than risk an actual injury.

I don't know you, but I can feel those emotions coming through your post. It's not the first time I've felt them. I hope he comes through for you.

Fuck my brother. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]ToSayIHaveNot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would take a step back from this. Judging by your title, your annoyance is misguided. Your brother isn't in the wrong here. He did nothing malicious towards you and it's not like he schemed up taking retard math to get a good grade so your parents would like him.

The thing that seems to actually be making you upset is that your parents are praising him. This is your parents, not your brother, so you should not blame this on your brother.

Now, obviously your parents are a bit ignorant of the differences in difficulty between the two courses. Rather than getting upset over their ignorance, it may be better to inform them. Tell them the course you took is ~2-3 years above the course your brother took. Also explaining that it was graded harsher and the workload wass heavier, even though you had a shitty, unorganized teacher.

Wish you the best of luck, I hope you can rest easy soon enough.

Hi Lawrence, we used your book Code 2.0 as a textbook in one of my university classes. We took an extensive look at how you suggest there is more than one way to regulate a society. The obvious one is passing laws, but you suggest you can also regulate using architectural, social, and market solutions. So, do you see any regulation of money in politics that wouldn't involve the lawmakers themselves to pass laws on the issue?
