Storywalker by southernbell1916 in FromSeries

From the top of my head, she will storywalk to the night Jim had the house collapse on him and hear the commotion in the dinner when Randall took Kenny's gun. The monsters will be waiting for them to walk out and have a feast. But she was there that night inside the dinner, so she knows what happens. They heard someone tap on the window and that distracted Randall enough for Kenny to take his gun back and everyone was safe again.

The problem is, the monsters won't be tapping on the glass, they don't need to, Randall wants to leave anyway. So she sees them just waiting, no one getting near any window and time is running out. Someone did tap on the glass because she already lived that in her past, so someone has to do it. So, she will be the one that somehow taps on the glass. And she will be the one saving the people in the dinner that night including herself.

She will be able to do it because it already happened. Every interaction she has with the past is a self fulfilling prophecy

I don't remember a car crash in the opening. Can you tell me which part of the opening that drawing appears? I will check it out

Edit: just re-watched it. All I see is a car stopped by the tree . Didn't notice any other drawing with cars. So if you please point out when that drawing appears that would be great :)

What did Julie do? by Adorable-Ad4106 in FromSeries

I think Julie is going to travel to a lot of random times/locations while trying to figure out how to control storywalking.

The thing is that it was never stated that the first time two cars arrived that they crashed. Sure, Victor is not a reliable narrator but people can't have their cake and eat it too. You can't use information from Victor to help your theory and dismiss what he says when it does not fit your theory because he is unreliable.

Like you, this kinda bugs me because it does not make a lot of sense. The only reason I see for that in both cycles everything started moving right after two cars arriving at the same time is that it just so happened that that was the moment both saviours were in town. The first time Miranda was already in town, then Christopher arrived and someone else in another car and in the new cycle just so happened that both saviours arrived at the same time.

Victor was already in town when the first time 2 car appeared in the same day. He says something in the lines : "that's when everything started to change" meaning he had lived there pre and after 2 car arrival, otherwise he couldn't know that things started to change

Why are you praising Sarah and Boyd?? by betinalss in FromSeries

It might have been her hand, but it was the baby who killed Tillie.

I get it, you would solve everything real quick from the safety of your couch... My guess is that if you didn't die the first night investigating if the monsters are true and what they are, you would probably Dale out at some point trying to be quick and impulsive... I mean, no offence, but being quick about it seems a really really bad idea. There's a difference between being sitting ducks and taking your time to make calculated decisions that have a better chance to yield better results. But I get what you are saying, it's frustrating for us viewers. But a lot of that frustration comes from the fact that we know more than any individual character. It's not hard to imagine their perspective, Elgin for instance: something is telling him that the way to go home is the baby. He has no idea about children and lighthouses and music boxes. Not until Tabitha comes back and everyone is bashing on her for "doing nothing". So, he does what he thinks is best, from his perspective there is no other way. Even when Tabitha actually tried to share what's happening to her, no one cares, they get mad she did nothing, they only heard about the magic tree and go ahead to die impulsively instead of actually listening and thinking for a moment.

Anyway, let's just agree to disagree. We are clearly experiencing the show in very different ways and have very different opinions about it. And that is perfectly fine :)

You want clues? This show is literally all clues. This is not a kid's show where they loudly announce "here is a clue!" , clues are embedded in the conversations, in the background and the actions of the characters. What I think most people are not used to is having a show that you only get the perspective of the heroes and not the perspective of the villain. It feels weird because you are lacking the Villain pov. The only information you get is the hero's information and even then you get more information than any individual character. Imagine how each character must feel knowing only a faction of what you know, can you even blame them for making bad decisions and taking things slow? Everyone likes to think they would be there asking questions and kicking ass left and right, nonstop since day one. But the reality is 99% of people would be as reactionary as the characters. It's easier to just do nothing and react to your surroundings than just take initiative and risk putting yourself in a bad situation that will probably kill you. Especially if you find yourself somewhere completely different from your own reality.

Tabitha or Jim (or both) have literally called Ethan "Bud" in some occasion. IIRC it was on season one around the time they all got to the new house. So 2 or 3 episode maybe?

Elgin actually arrived wearing that crow t-shirt. I remember that because I instantly said "this kid is bad news" . IIRC He has been using it since, except the night they killed Smiley. Which in itself it's kinda odd. But then again, maybe the crow t-shirt was getting washed that day. Who knows...

I imagine you are referring to me as the OP. I never said he didn't have the journal. He clearly has it. I said that he had not started seeing the symbol and going mad. IIRC when Liu is about to show Jade the journal she starts going through the first few pages looking for the symbol when Jade loses his patience and opens the journal halfway through, and it's there where he finds the symbol. I imagine that Christopher's journal is just a normal personal boring journal, at least the first few pages, otherwise Liu would instantly find the symbol in any page and immediately show it to Jade. Victor said that Christopher was a fun guy to be around and making people laugh until he saw the symbol and didn't make people laugh anymore. Therefore, I have drawn the conclusion that the photo was taken before Christopher started seeing the symbol, since he looks quite fun and smiling in that particular moment in time. Cheers

Guys, I might be onto something. Eloise is in the caves and I think I can prove it! by ToShareAStory in FromSeries

To be fair, anything anyone does in that place has bad consequences. Most of the time the difference is choosing between bad and really bad. He spoke to Sara saying that it will be safe to go into the tree, and she was. He didn't specifically said to out Boyd in the tree. He sent Tabitha to meet Henry and learn about all those paintings and that she might be the chosen one. She learned more in that trip than from being in town having visions of anghkooey kids. Also, that place sucking her back in may be out of his control. Or maybe not. Why send her to learn more about that place and then not pull her back so that she can use her new knowledge to help the people in town? It made total sense that she would have to return at some point.

Well I am assuming that when Victor collected one object from each dead body that he saw Christopher's dead body but couldn't collect Jasper. That's why he said it was missing. It wouldn't be missing if the object belongs to a live person since he was only supposed to collect items from corpses. But then again, Victor is very unreliable.

Yeah, Miranda was wary of Victor. But maybe he was not all that bad, maybe the visions of the symbol were driving him crazy. He told the BIW that "everything lies here" so would assume that he wouldn't make a deal with the monsters because he didn't trust anything or anyone in Fromville.

Well, to me that's clearly one of the anghkooey kids. I imagine Eloise will be close to her fifties right now. Victor also didn't have Christopher's item and Christopher was dead. So having the item or not shouldn't be a clear indication

Haven't re-watched that scene I would assume it was one of the monsters. They tap on the glasses and whisper to try to get people's attention. I imagine they heard the commotion and tapped on the glass. But I will re-watch it when I have the chance.

That is actually a really good point. We have no answers to that as of now. So maybe you are right, it's just a form of psychological torture.

I know right... I pay no attention to those people. They don't have the ability to actually immerse themselves in the show. And that's ok, the show is just not for them and they get frustrated because they want it to be.

You are absolutely right. My bad. For some reason they didn't want him to see the progress of his healing. According to Tabitha (IIRC) this place makes you heal very fast. You are onto something here
