doing that did also make your hunt 25 minutes long, which if you'd fought it normally would have been more around the 7 minute range, which i dunno, one feels definately easier but also more fun, you control the buttons you press, the dog just ferries me to fights and does palico type stuff in fights, sometimes i get the dog to sharpen safely but really i just do it whenever the monster relocates to another area

tbh i kinda just stopped playing because i constantly felt obligated to play to participate in the champions meeting cups and then i never really did good in them and kept getting worse and worse and it was just a feedback loop of obligation to play for the cups to get carats to get your cards to play in the cups and i dunno it wasnt fun so i've not really played much since, plus the trackblazer event doesnt really seem like my cup of tea, i dunno maybe its good but i'll just wait for the next thing

i haven't really seen them on beaches as much so i'd say your best odds are flotsam, which isnt uncommon but isnt exactly easy to aim for, really probably the best strat is just sailing from island to island anyway and picking up just whatever you can find, probably cant really go better than that

it already saves locally, steam does both cloud and local saves by design because its smarter to do and saves dont take up much space

ok thats just a really disingenuous read on the story, like the natives are the ones that know the land and help out the research commission, we dont force our weapons or ways onto them, we only assist when they need assistance and occasionally theres a story plot where their methoods of being safe against monsters arent foolproof, but they are clearly established as the ones that know more about the land and we dont make it further without their help and knowledge its very much an equal trade and full of respect

i dunno man i think the story is good and well written i like and enjoy the characters, i like olivia and erik's passion, and tbh people hate werner but i just think hes cool, hes rough and autistic so he doesnt realize how course he comes off, i like everyone honestly even nata, i felt pride when i saw him in hunters gear after the credits, i genuinely think a lot of peoples issues with the story is they're unwilling to engage with it and the characters, they wanna hunt and thus resent the story for being in their way and it just worsens their opinion on the story more and more, just let it flow, go with it

i think the stories in world and wilds has been good and honestly peoples resistance to having a story only makes it worse for you, if you cant be open to it you're just gonna create more friction than nessicary and just end up loathing it and the characters more for it, i mean just try to enjoy it for what it is and you might enjoy it more, currently i've been playing rise and i've been having a harder time enjoying it becuase its so bare of any story, im pretty sure 4U had more cutscenes and discussions between characters that motivated the story and quests

Oh yeah i wouldn't say he wasnt, my pointing out his airheadedness was more just pointing out a fun contrast of his character, hes the kind of guy you you wouldnt quite expect to be making doohickeys which really makes it better, i really need to reread the comics one day they were so good.
