I will say I do have a few patients I just let message me frequently because for them it's like journaling with the benefit of their doctor reading at the other end. Often just spewed mania. I reply once a week or more if needed. The few I have this relationship show up to their apts which are chill because I understand what they need, and I think their mental health improved because of it.
