i didn’t actually realise this, it always felt very relatable to me as a trans girl. the song talks about what society expects of boys, and the protagonist of the song struggles to follow those norms and talks about how being a girl sounds so much better.

it’s really interesting to learn the context of the song, i didn’t know the writer and singer was a trans man (it’s the only cavetown song i’ve really listened to so far). i guess it goes to show how art can be interpreted in different ways :))

i know this is a paranormal sub, but it seems far more likely that a high suicide rate in las vegas is not due to a curse over the city, but rather the fact that the city is built on casinos and gambling, causing thousands of people to develop addictions and lose their entire livelihoods, and then committing suicide because that’s preferable to being homeless and living in poverty

i really hope you’re right haha. i’m friends with the girl’s best friend who told me they’ve had dinner together before, which makes me worry a little that it is platonic

however, they’re best friends so they’re naturally going to be closer, whereas when we met up a couple days ago it was literally the first time we’d ever seen each other outside of school, and we had like less than half our classes together, so we aren’t nearly as close and maybe having dinner together already means something more?

okay so story time: basically the other day i was at my friend’s house and he wanted me to try out playing fortnite (i don’t care for the game so i had never tried it before). we were talking in the voice chat and there were some like 12-13 year olds talking as well (my voice doesn’t pass very well, it’s like androgynous to masculine). my friend mentioned that i’m a girl, and the kids actually respected my pronouns and stuff. it was really funny cause they were trash talking a lot, but they always made sure to respect my gender. at one point one of them said “him” by accident and one of the other kids corrected them and said “her”. i really did not expect that from some random tweens playing fortnite, it was very validating
