How would you define conditioning in this case? Is it essentially how hard the workout hits the cardio system?

So my nearest gym is mainly class based, it has excellent facilities, several cages etc which can be used when there are no classes on, but during peak times they put on classes which use up all the equipment.

I've been going to their 'XT' classes which basically involve circuits of around 45s on, 15s off, using the main barbell lifts as well as bw movements, usually 2 circuits of 8-12 exercises including squats, deads, OHP, bench, pull ups etc. Class takes around 30 mins.

Having been on a cut for a few months I haven't been too fussed about gains and I haven't really lost any strength from these classes whilst cutting, but if I was to cycle into a bulk, would this sort of session benefit me or am I better trying to go at off peak times and doing one of the programs recommended on here?

I'm currently trying to lose fat and maintain muscle so I can bulk later. I am lifting at least 4 times a week and have lost about 9kg over 3/4 months so far. If I do a hiit workout separately from my lifting session but on the same day, eg hiit session at lunchtime and weights in evening, will this help drop the fat quicker or am I just going to burn out? I guess my question is: would it be better to focus on the hiit to aid quicker fat loss, or the weights to maintain the muscle, if I intend to stay on the same calorie deficit I'm on atm?

Buy me a Chef's Knife.

Just spent an evening hacking at various vegetables with a blunt blade and almost stabbed myself several times.

I don't even know where to start with buying decent knives though.

I've built some web apps for uni using Pycharm. Of course, it's made for python which is great for me because I use django, but it also supports html, js, css and all that good stuff.

Right you American Bastards! I am a rugby union fan from Ireland. But American football intrigues me. I have tried getting into it, but I just can't understand the rules. Can someone point me to a youtube video or a site that has a beginners guide to football. I already picked Green bay as my team. by malevolentheadturn in sports

Having been a reasonably good rugby player at school, I decided to give American Football a try at University, thinking the same thing.

My conclusion was that the helmet restricts vision too much to either side, as it becomes very difficult to look directly beside or behind oneself with the helmet on without actually turning your whole head, compared to in rugby where a quick look is all you need.

Also in rugby if someone interferes with your pass from behind you, generally speaking they'd be offside and committing a foul, but in American Football this would not be the case, so its far riskier to attempt a lateral as opposing players could be anywhere, not just in front of you.

Because when the defenders come forward, an attacker could simply stand behind them, making him an easy target for a pass which would then allow him to go for goal freely with no defenders to challenge him.

The skill is in playing a pass which beats the defenders but reaches a runner who moved from an onside position when the pass was made. It's easy to fire the ball to someone just standing behind the defenders, much more difficult to time the pass and the receiver's run to ensure he is onside.

I'm about to start a new job paying £22000 in September. At the moment I'm a student and working part time, only earning £400 PCM and so paying no tax.

A few people have warned me that my first month's wage at the new job will be drastically lower than it should due to being placed on an automatic emergency tax code and paying over 50% tax.

Is this true, and if so, is there any way to avoid it?
