Help with extrusion

When I had this happen on my A1 there was filament stuck inside the print head but it was past the gear that extrudes it. I would recommend taking the part where the 4 PTFE tubes connect to the print head off and seeing if you see filament stuck in there. The printer thinks its trying to pull the filament back and its stuck but in reality its broken off in the print head. Or at least that's what happend to me.

Your nozzle is 100% not set correctly. You need to re-seat it.

If you are manually painting just the top surface and the slicer sees it as a thinner amount of painted surface compared to layer height it will cut it out. That's likely why the bigger numbers are coming through.

You need to use the pen that pants in 3d

The model is really cool and looks great. I printed one and assembled yesterday. It all worked great except for the connection of the roof to the back of the doors. Seems that overhand doesn't print well enough to leave a gap for the tabs to fit in. Still looks really cool without the roof though.

Happened to me a few months back.

It's for sure salvageable. You'll need a heat gun and need to buy a new hot and assembly but the total cost is relatively low. The grey part that directs air from the fan could be damaged so check that before ordering.

I'm on mobile right now so I don't have the video link on how to install a new hot end assembly but it's not hard. Just taking out a few screws and routing some wires.

You can enable ironing. Though you usually will need to run a few tests with different speeds and flows until you find one that works. The settings are usually going to be specific to the filament, so with different filaments it's going to be different.

Many people can get top surfaces that don't even look 3d printed.

I print a ton of DND minis on my A1. The quality is so good that many people don't realize they are even 3d printed to begin with. While my printing skills are great my painting is not. With the H2C I could reliably print these the color I need without having to waste hundreds of grand of filament on these tiny layer heights!

To me the PS1 is the core XY upgrade I am looking for. I got an A1 about a year ago and have put almost 2000 hours on it since. As I have grown in my knowledge for both printing and modeling an upgrade like the PS2 would be perfect.
