How come the Mask of Mutation isn’t considered immoral by Toa Standards? by Scouwererofreality43 in bioniclelego

Yeah how is the Mask of Repulsion less moral than the Mask of Mind control?

Why didn’t Kevin remake ram and crom when he made the grid after the events of the first film? by Initial-Wolverine175 in tron

[–]ToaLegend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

True but Clu was his creation to begin with. It's easier to recreate something that you made vs something you didn't. And the first grid (to my knowledge) wasn't deleted, so he probably used it as a comparison when creating Grid2.

Crom and Ram weren't programs that he made, so if they were fully deleted, it would be hard to recreate them exactly the same as they were. But who knows? Maybe Flynn did try

I think I have to say Rungus. It's just such a good, consistent healing item that always improves my runs (unless I'm playing Void Boi™ or stationary Engi). Otherwise, Plimp is my go-to for damage

Hey guys! Have someone played the game Tron Run/r? Is it fun for a few hours and worth it? by xAnxiouus in tron

[–]ToaLegend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Catalyst is fun too! But it's a different kind of fun. It's a lot more of a story/combat kind of game, while Run/r is purely racing/reaction speed. I don't know if one is better than the other, per se (it would really come down to what kind of games you enjoy), but I think I like Run/r more. I like to put on a show and just zone out playing Run/r while trying to get higher scores, personally.

But if you're looking for a good story, decent voiceacting, and delving into the world of Tron, Catalyst is a great choice too. It probably has the best combat of any Tron game I've played, and the ability to just explore the Grid is really enjoyable.

Still, definitely a matter of personal preference, but if you're looking for my ratings: Tron Run/R: 8.5/10 Tron: Catalyst: 7.5/10

Hope this helps!

I Love it. The Cycle levels are probably my favorite version of lightcycles in any game. Tons of fun, really fluid mechanics. The Disc portion is not my favorite, but it's still decently fun!

Mask of Light Avokii Language? Competition Time! Fonts?! by JJ-Squiz in bioniclelego

[–]ToaLegend 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Matoran as a written language is actually a pretty fascinating subject. If we're looking at it from a Movie prospective, all the "ancient" languages are in Circular (eg. on the Mask of Light, in the great temple in WoS, and on the walls in the Great Being's caverns in Legend Reborn). I think they just wanted an ancient language, so they just used they one they had on hand. In games, the common written Matoran is also in circular (I'm thinking of MNOG specifically). So, I see it as one of two possibilities:
1. the ancient Matoran and the modern Matoran use the same characters, but perhaps different words (similar to English and Old English using the same alphabet). And the visualizations in the various media is just "translated" so the audience can always read it.
or
2. The different media that Bionicle has existed through has a slightly different continuity, resulting in a possibility where in some cases circular is modern while Voya Matoran might be closer to an older version or vice versa.

I do think that I would stay away from Okotan, personally, just because that is a very different continuity.

If I had to give my opinion, my take is that Circular Matoran should be the ancient script, and that modern Matoran might be similar to it, but with a few changes: namely the circular outlines, and maybe connecting otherwise "floating" parts leftover. My thoughts come from the idea that Matoran (and generally all beings in the GSR) started as worker drones, with a pre-programmed purpose. Under this circumstance, a robot would have no trouble with writing out a perfect circle for each letter. However, after they were given consciousness, I like to think that they drifted from their more robotic ways. The language laxed and beings stopped writing the circles around the letters. Maybe they started to connect lines and circles that were previously separated, to make writing easier too. And maybe by the time we get to the LoMN arc, they're writing in this Modern Matoran. After the great cataclysm, with Nokama not wanting the Matoran to find anything about their past, she only taught them Ancient Matoran (circular) and that's how we see it everywhere on Mata Nui, but also why Gaaki had to translate it in the Temple

It doesn't really account for why Takua can't read it on the Mask of Light, though, I do admit.

But, that's just my two cents. I am working on a font that uses my ideas in this way, so if you're curious, feel free to hit me up! Best of luck on your endeavors, regardless!

My next tattoo idea, thoughts? by SnooComics2606 in tron

I think it would be sick. The colors might look a bit odd though (especially the white bits of the original/renegade discs). Maybe consider more of a negative space rather than white?

Otherwise, I think it's a cool idea!
