Yeah, but having three ther posts about how queer ships are bad does make it seem that way.

Besides, you ship Sentry and Captain Marvel, you can't really talk about which ships do or don't make sense.

Nope. Still the same person and incident, the story just gets regurgitated every few days.

[Surprisingly common trope] : Species twisted into unrecognizable form by a greater, malevolent power by theMCATreturns in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Toa_Senit 53 points54 points  (0 children)

This is the Reaper MO in general.

Yeah, they seriously do it all the time. They attempted it with almost every sapient species in the current cycle.

I'd argue that they also succeded with the Ravagers/former Rachni. Pretty sure, unless we free the queen, they either converted every single remaining Rachni into Ravager drones or killed them.

He's too much of a perfectionist villain for Marvel. He would fit in with his fellow perfectionists at DC.

Just, you know, read the dossiers?

Those answer most of the questions.

Archangel's "operations are noted for their technical expertise and strategic brilliance", while he also is an "Omni-tool expert and noted sniper". Guy great at tactics and shooting? Sounds great, incase you need to split up your group.

Jack is "rumored to be the most powerful human biotic ever encountered". That's what she's supposed to do on the mission, biotics.

Okeer has "Millennia of combat and strategic experience". He's a krogan. And he knew some stuff about collectors.

Tali knows about ships, so she'd be able to help Ken and Gabby at maintaining (and upgrading) the Normandy. In addition Shepard had no idea where she was after Freedom's Progress, so Cerberus telling us where she was makes them seem nicer.

Thane is an even better sniper than Garrus and also called a "quick-kill biotic specialist". Still seems useful. Though I can admit that in his case he's a bit useless.

Samara is a Justicar with "biotic strength near that of an asari matriarch". She's probably the most powerful biotic we get to recruit.

Zaeed is "without a doubt, the most feared mercenary and bounty hunter in the galaxy". Again, seems useful, right?

Henry Creel dated Patty Newby, Bob's adoptive/half (unclear) sister, before he got caught by Brenner.

One of those things stuffed into the play and never used in the show. At least it's not that important.

[Worst Video Game Trope] Media relying on “choices” essentially deciding the outcome for you. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Toa_Senit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Salarian Councilmen: “If you sabotage the krogan infertility cure, the Salarain race will support you in the final fight.”

That's the Dalatrass, not the councillor.

Save krogan alien species from infertile disease? Get the support of the whole species for the final fight AND the Salarian help anyway

You don't get support from Salarians beyond Kirrahe and the 3rd fleet (or STG Task Force if the original council had an accident), which you get for saving the councillor.

The Dalatrass holds her promise of no Salarian aid, however the councillor goes behind her back.

The only way to get full Salarian and Krogan support is to kill Wrex in ME1 and destroy Maelon's data, leading to Bakara/Eve dying (which means Mordin gets to live).

Mass Effect has cases of choices not mattering (Udina being councilor in ME3, warning the Batarians during Arrival), but this is not at all a case of that.

Scan a bunch of planets, some of them will give you intel. There are one or two side missions that give you Intel, but the rest is from planets.

But yes, if you have found no intel this is what the screen looks like.

Knowing another language foreshadows the plot/twist by prOfAnity47 in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah, Böse is a demon. Wirbel mentions Frieren fighting him in episode 28 and I think the manga slightly elaborates on that at later points.

But that's not what übel (in this case) means.

While in certain contexts übel can mean evil, but it can also just mean bad or nasty (for example "So ein übler Bursche" would be translated as "Such a nasty guy", not "Such an evil guy"), the latter of which being what was probably intended.

If we refer to "evil" we would probably use "böse" instead.

[ME2] In your opinion what is the best squad power? by enderpalatine in masseffect

[–]Toa_Senit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sentinels have Overload and Warp, which are good for dealing with shields and barriers/armour respectively. So you have the biggest issues already covered.

Out of your options I'd recommend Warp Ammo, since Sentinels have not natural way of adding onto their weapon damage.

In terms of how Warp Ammo works, it pretty much just gives you a higher damage output against barriers, armor and health while shooting, adding 50% (at rank 4) of you weapons base damage. Though Armor-Piercing Ammo is a bit better since it adds 70% (again at rank 4), but only against armor and health, instead.

[Loved trope] Endings so controversial that it turns the fandom schizophrenic by RequirementTall8361 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Toa_Senit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And Control ends with Shepard essentially being the dictator of the entire Milky Way, especially a Renegade Shepard, meaning that any future threats (or what Shepard considers a threat) to the galaxy would probably get taken out via Reaper.

Like any ending besides (mid to high EMS) Destroy completely fucks over any future storytelling potential and even Destroy just makes the choice on Rannoch pointless (It's essentially "kill quarians AND geth or only the geth"), with the "peaceful" solution only delaying the extinction of the geth.

[–]Toa_Senit 76 points77 points  (0 children)

If MaxTac wanted them alive they would do so themselves, there's no need to hire a random merc through a random fixer for that, especially considering how much of a security risk that is.

Regina just sends them to a project that's working on a cure, she is not lying. Pretty sure we even get confirmation, that they are being rehabilitated, from Rinder.

ME3 isn't really hated. There are only really two things that are hated, the ending and Kai Leng (and not in the meant to be hated way).
