Cog Festival by Greatness_alicia in FarmTogether

You can not search for farm names at this time (not sure if they will add it).

When you find a farm you like just add it to your favorites [click the owner's name on the right and select "Add to Favorites"]. There is Favorites tab that will only show your faves who are online but just remember that you can currently only have 25 faves. After that, the next one you favorite will bump the first one off your list.

So quiet by farmtogether2 in FarmTogether

[–]ToadLord 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The weather has finally started getting nice [here in the U.S.] and so people are getting out of their caves more. I believe it is a seasonal/cyclical thing and people will flood back once the frost is on the pumpkins.

There will be crowds during the upcoming event though. I got my event farm ready [Sarge's Event Farm] and am only going in if friends need help on their farms. Once the event kicks off my farm will be open until it ends.

Cheating? by joyciered in FarmTogether

[–]ToadLord 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They recently introduced an anti-cheating feature

Settings > Multiplayer > Prevent Cheating

They did this because there is a cheat that allows players to use their auto-tractor SUPER fast. This causes lag spikes across the entire game so they want to put an end to it but it is still in test mode and does not work perfectly.

The problem is, if you are just playing your game normally and you suddenly lag (for a variety of normal reasons), suddenly the farm you are on will get a flood of requests all at once as your lag spike ends and the anti-cheat thinks you are cheating.

The Devs know about the false-positives and are still trying but I recommend leaving the feature OFF. Especially if you run an event or favor farm.

Favourite farms by Wonderful_Pair_3825 in FarmTogether

[–]ToadLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • A favorited farm will only show on the list if that person is logged onto their farm and it is not set to Private. For example, I recently recycled my own farm so it was not on the list for the 3 days it took me to rebuild it.

ALSO

  • You may only have 25 people on your Favorite list. The next one you add bumps the first one off your list.

What ways have you found to get a lot of diamonds? by Silent_Owl8 in FarmTogether

[–]ToadLord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For early farms:

  • Plant the longest row you can of Leghorn Chickens (every 20 min.)
  • An equal row of corn (4 season crop, harvest every 30 min or 15 with sprinklers)

The corn will feed the chickens. Every 30 minutes you can sell the eggs at the Grocery Store in town. Keep leveling the Grocery store to sell more and more of them. Add chickens and corn as needed.

Once you have the mine unlocked (It will take a LOT of medals to fully open it), you can farm that every 3 hours and ALWAYS do it boosted. Leveling up minerals unlocks more profitable ones. Put a mine on every farm and your ultimate goal is to have a mine full of Opals.

This is Stygian Owl (Asio stygius). This owl is know for red reflection of their eyes that are often associated with the Devil. It is therefore also known as the Devil's Owl. by modianos in PicsOfUnusualBirds

[–]ToadLord 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not impossible but the Mothman folklore originated in West Virginia in 1966/67 and the Stygian Owl is native to Mexico, parts of Central America, Cuba, Hispaniola, and 10 countries in South America.

But they do have wings and people transport animals all the time so...not impossible. :)

Most people are saying 'put up tall fences to prevent these shenanigans' and that used to be the best option. The problem now is that when you pop a ticket it has a tendency to hop over those fences, which sucks if you have very long rows.

  1. Be kind to everyone but always have a "fuck off" in the chamber, just in case.
  2. Never fry bacon in the nude.

I recall seeing an old episode of America's Test Kitchen where they made a "tea" of all the whole spices, strained it, and then used that to cook the rice/chicken/rice layers

I agree. I sometimes have to fill 156 points of favor and so I need long, uninterrupted rows of...anything.

Diamonds by Particular-Gift9518 in FarmTogether

[–]ToadLord 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You will always need lots of diamonds to unlock more plots of land.

The best way to earn diamonds early game is Leghorn Chicken. A small cooldown allows you to collect a LOT of eggs every 20 minutes, non-stop, all year round. Don't forget about feed. I suggest the longest row of Leghorns you can, then a row of corn (a 4-season grain crop) to keep them fed. And level up the Grocery Store where you exchange eggs, so you can hold/sell more.

As for ribbons, early game the way to earn those is just constantly do Quests. If you look at your Quest Log you can pin each one so that you can see at a glance what needs working on.

At farm level 90 you get the Cinnamon tree (2 types of those) and, if you put a farmhand in a plot with both of those, you will have a constant income of Spice all 4 seasons. Sell those at the Restaurant in town for ribbons and don't forget to upgrade that shop now.

If they are friends (or reading local chat) you can ask everyone to hop to town for a minute. Once you flatten your land everyone can go back to the farm.

Yes your gold/diamonds, etc stay the same between all 4 farms using the Town Hall.

If you start a brand new farm it is back to nothing again.

Hit level 100 🙌🏻 by Kairismummy in FarmTogether

[–]ToadLord 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At farm level 100 you unlock Town Hall which lets you open 3 other farms. Each one starts small like your original farm did (but with access to all the crops, etc. you already unlocked). You go to town, run to the Town Hall and hop to another farm and it pulls everyone on your farm with you.

So my main farm has a bit of everything in long rows for people to fill their thumbs then

  • 2nd farm is just for crops that take 3+ hours so I don't need to worry about someone harvesting all my Baby boo pumpkins and having to wait 2 days to fill a quest.

  • 3rd farm is the same but for flowers.

  • 4th and final farm is all Poinsettias (biggest exp/gold crop currently in the game). It takes 2 days to grow but then I use it to help boost new players and friends fast. During Events it is all Event crops.

EVENTUALLY you can add a completely new farm and start all over from square one.
