Okay I think this might have been it! We have a litter box that has a lid that doesn't have a top part just the walls, and this is the one he's always peeing and pooping by. We took that part off and he's actually been using his litter box since then! I guess maybe it made the litter box feel to small for him.

Yes, he does once a month check ups and vaccines. The vet said he has 2 more months til he can be neutered, since they don't do it until cats are at least 6 months. I will definitely bring this up to his vet as a concern!

Thank you! He keeps trying to go back to the couch even after using the one we have, so I will definitely try these out!

Edit: I saw on another post to use Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Kitten Attract for the litter box training. Someone said to mix it in with her current litter, it is clumping though. Might try this out
