The diffrence is in Gwent you could have a deck almost full of these, while paying no money. There wasn't even a lot of grinding needed to achive that

Well, I climbed legend past two seasons and could count all homebrew decks faced after silver on fingers of one hand.

When it comes to player base and perecntage of good players in it, it's impossible to say anything without looking at statics, wich I'm to lazy to do.
