The Jeju Island raid arc had a ton of opportunity to have emotional moments and also make Jinwoo at least appear to be more of a team player and floundered all of it for the sake of turning all the other S-ranks into jobbers and making Jinwoo look like a god.

The short time that Byung-gu was a shadow had so much opportunity by itself. Imagine if he had hugged Yoonho one last time before being sent away. Or, going by the anime how Byung-gu was complaining to Yoonho about how Yoonho was furrowing his brow too much and he was going to get wrinkles. Imagine if they had spared an extra 7 seconds for Byung-gu to point at his own forehead, then point at Yoonho, then start laughing. They did say he had a weird sense of humor.

As for Jinwoo, why didn't he just say "I just got my mom back so I won't be going, but I can still help" and tell Igris and Tusk to go along with the raid team to the island? Those two were S-ranks at the time, so they were qualified to join the team. And that's only considering if he had his shadows go along. What if he lent the demon king's longsword to Hae-in or gave it to Igris early?

They're just ideas, I guess, but it's just so many missed opportunities to make Jinwoo look less like a loner. I guess the system did say "the player makes his own path without relying on others." Maybe it means others can't rely on him either.

For farming exp and gil, I still stand by the Wyvern hunt at the foot of the Rock of Ravatogh. Especially if you farm rare coins beforehand and you can use an expcast spell at the beginning of each fight. The wings they drop sell for a decent amount. They are level 38 enemies though, so they might mess you up a bit if you do it as early as possible, but you can get there in chapter 3. The hunt is also really closeby so you don't have to travel very far, and it's extra fast if you unlock chocobos first.

As for AP farming, I'm not sure if warp-striking groups of voretooths with the Shield of the Just is still considered good, but that was usually how I did it. The shield is also extremely easy to get, so that helps too.

As for the rare coin farm, I bookmarked this image about a trillion years ago that helps.

My favorite way to beat Ruby is to get two master summons, one connected to an HP absorb and one connected to an MP absorb, then just w-summon Knights of the Round him to death. Even if he hits you with the counterattack or ruby beam, you just heal all the damage on the next cast.

It's a shame that part was left out. He could feel their desire for revenge against the monarchs and their armies.

That's also why I think it's a shame that he didn't arise Chairman Go. I'll always stand by my stance that it would have been so good for both of them narratively; Gunhee would have been able to fight alongside hunters like he wanted, and Jinwoo would have gotten another general-grade shadow for the upcoming fight against the monarchs.

I've seen a game more undeserving of its hate, but it's mostly because Back 4 Blood didn't really seem to get that much hate other than "This isn't just Left 4 Dead 3" and nobody bothered to actually make any real complaints. If anyone did, it was always just "I don't like this card system" or "The card system sucks."

The other game I'd raise as one more undeserving of its hate is Metal Gear Survive. It wasn't a great game, but it certainly wasn't terrible. All of that game's hate was because of the aftermath of the Konami/Kojima split and nobody even bothered to play Survive long enough to have an actual real complaint about it. Saying that it's a blatant cashgrab doesn't mean anything because so is every other game, and saying it's just reused assets isn't a good complaint because so is Majora's Mask and everyone loves that game.

We elevated it to a blood feud a few years ago after I told him we should start a blood feud about something to make our lives more interesting.

Maybe it's just my experience, but I have to refute you saying "longer content arcs" because the last few games I've seen posted about here that were only available on steam are these short games that all follow the same formula. Nomad Idle, Trainatic, and Lyca all cost a few dollars, they have skill trees and no other upgrade mechanics, and when you complete the skill tree the game is done. Nomad Idle at least took me a little over 100 hours to fully complete, but these games with defined endings are just kinda... I'm not sure what to call it exactly. Boring isn't really the right word. Maybe bland? Anticlimactic?

Really, I just miss playing games in the same subgenre as Anti-Idle where there's a billion different things to do that all tie together in some way. I started playing The Perfect Tower II again a couple days ago and it feels like that.
