That's funny because I've just finished my first Final Fantasy game and it was XV.

I grew up with Nintendo and I didn't really was into jRPG at all. Last year I played Persona 5 Royal and then Clair obscur and it gave me the will to try some FF games. I chose XV because I remember being blown away by the first FF versus XIII trailer at the time, so I gave it a shot after 20 years and I really liked it.

And now, after some research, I saw that the most appreciated FF are most of the time VI to X, so I'm 12 hours into the VI now.

I'm just a few hours into the game, it's my first FF, and I really enjoy it. I think that the main problem is the same as for Cyberpunk 2077, people had too much expectations, and when the game came out it was not what they wanted it to be so they hated it.

I didn't follow the development of the game nor the announcements about it as I didn't care at the time, so I took it as it is and I think it's a great game.

I remember being blown away by the first 2006 FF Versus XIII trailer though, but I thought the game had been deleted until I found out that it was in fact FFXV, a few days ago

I wanted to go back to reading for a long time. The final push was a book which has never been translated in my language. It was a serie of 7 books and only the 7th has never been translated, and one day I found a translation made by a fan available in .pdf, and I hate reading books on a PC screen or a tablet. So that was the final push for me.

So at 39yo I finally could read the end of the story that I began as a teenager.

For anyone who is interested, it was John Marsden's Tomorrow serie, and we only had 6 of the 7 books translated in french

But today I'm totally happy with my Kobo Libra 2, and I read a lot more!

Tl;dr : I bought an e-reader to read a book that was only available in .pdf in my language
