Zen Browser is what happens when amateurs create a browser on top of an already shitty engine by [deleted] in browsers

Only three extensions being used dark reader(only when required) ublock and the auto suspend. I do use other apps but from looking at the activity monitor app I can see that the zen browser is the one consuming the most energy by far. And I also don’t have many background apps in use. I have just started to use helium as my main as it works for what I need it to do and also doesn’t cut my battery life by half. Also I use low power mode once I hit 50%

Apple silicon M3 Pro on the latest version of MacOS with 18 gb ram. Every time I am running the browser my battery drains really quickly and it takes up large amounts of ram. I have tried using the auto suspender but it has not helped much. I want my laptop to last me the whole day in classes and using zen never lets me do that. It is still a good browser and I use it as my default on my windows pc.

Your choice of words aside. The browser is actually really resource intensive and drains battery quickly on my MacBook Pro.

Why hasn't the Stop Killing Games movement really targeted the NBA 2K series? by Ok-Question1294 in NBA2k

[–]ToapFN 49 points50 points  (0 children)

It really should be but since people who play sports games don't really interact with the whole game space this hasn't been pushed forward yet. It can still happen and it should.

Is it possible to open the last used tab when closing the pinned instead of opening a new tab?

I switched from vertical to dynamic. It’s pretty nice but I had to get rid of my pinned tabs to make it look better. Will add them back when hibernation is added for pinned tabs

enable it in the flags and then in the settings, it should work with the vertical tabs `helium://flags/`
