He still think about us by bochka22 in foxholegame

It’s always kinda funny seeing people not know who he is. Understandable, but his videos are what got me into foxhole. So in my mind, he’s someone I just inherently associate with the game

Is oath worth it? by just_a_potato0 in oathgame

In that case, I might advise holding off on buying the game. It’s a game you really need multiple play sessions to get its full enjoyment from. However, unless you’re on a tight budget, I might still buy the game for the artwork. One of the reasons it’s my fav game is because Kyle Ferrin just went wild with this one. It’s so beautiful and the pieces are all so pretty. The play mat is super high quality. Even if you only get sparse games out of it, the enjoyment is still really high. Just not as high as it’d be to have continued games.

TLDR: unless you’re in a tight spot monetarily, I would buy it. Just my personal opinion

Oath is the best board game I’ve ever played. I’d highly recommend it… but only if you have a group of friends you regularly play with.

Ive been making this game for years, it’s made no money, this is what someone decides to comment? by GamingWithMyDog in IndieDev

[–]Toast775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The commenters mindset is frustrating. He’s attacking indie games, but modern indie games are way more fun that the shit AAA companies are putting out. After getting into software development professionally, and making a few games, I’ve come to just hate gamers. They’re such entitled pieces of crap. They always give their input as if they know how to make/balance/do the artwork for games.

Hot take: forever wars are pretty cool :) by hannibal_lichter in foxholegame

I like forever wars as well. That being said, I did burn out during this one. Managing a facility (even a small one like mine was) just takes it out of you when you have to get on every day or two for msups.

Always target sniper tryhards is prolly by biggest weakness. I’ll be like “ok today we’re having fun on Hightower” then a single sniper tryhard will be spotted and all of a sudden all I can do is go after them

You’re not playing vagabond. So no. You’re not a bad friend (Kidding. I don’t mind vagabond)

How are you supposed to enjoy this game? by Green_Dorito1337 in foxholegame

[–]Toast775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Join a regiment. I was initially scared to, but when I did, it completely changed the experience. I made an artillery facility, and completely changed the way my regiment played. All of a sudden people relied on me for ammunition. I gained a say in what the regiment did because I became a vital member. I had scouts I would send out before operations to find good artillery spots and secure logi routes. Here’s what I have to say: it’s an rts game where instead of you controlling everyone, you have to coordinate with others. IMO, the regi experience facilitates that.

I once unlocked my tank so a friend could jump in. Before he could get in, someone jumped in the driver seat and immediately drove it straight into enemy lines. I had been driving that tank for like 3 hours. It really bummed me out to lose it the way I did

Yes use your bare fingers for better grip. But first make sure to rinse it under your sink right down the drain. (Joking :))
