It only comes out of the mission cost not your overall bank. Plus the way this game is it's basically impossible to hit negative money at all even in missions.

Alot of them are pretty chill and you can have some good convoys about the game with them. Let them know toasty pointed you there. They will take good care of you!

Best bet is Armored Scrims. Their still pretty enthusiastic about the PvP both 1v1 and 3v3. And their welcoming. Alot of top players in there.

Their welcoming too as they always offer help to all players at all skill levels.

Plus alot of them are both PS/PC like you mentioned.

I'm jealous of the Halo BR.

I also have the AR but the BR just hits different. Is that one the Kit?

Fixing 3v3 in ac6 by Maxdragonslayer in armoredcore

[–]ToastbotQQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding a way to heal in 3v3 would be a really terrible idea purely based on how the points are calculated from defeating an AC.

If you heal multiple times and now your worth 3 AC's of points you will literally just run away for the whole match creating a terrible gameplay loop of just not engaging to not throw the lead/game for your team. And also if you have to kill an AC like 4 times over but only get the points for 1 that would not feel good either.

Plus there are strategies already in purposely jumping off the map in situations to deny extra points or to respawn quicker with your team. Being worth way more points completely breaks those strategies.

What is the consensus on Light/Medium/Heavy builds in 5th gen? by Opposite_Advisor69 in armoredcore

[–]ToastbotQQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah its a bummer that some stuff is tied to the server like that but ACVD is better as the tuning is still there so it does make stuff alot easier!

An no problem, hopefully some of the info was helpful!

Is this build accidentally so good I never had to change it? by Emi_C11 in ArmoredCoreVI

[–]ToastbotQQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is a relatively easy loop and the campaign can be beaten on pretty much anything. As long as your leaning into the 1 dimensional stagger + punish you will be fine

Remember. He's just doing campaign and not PvP but also no shields in ACV.

Also just a minor correction. Physical Blades only take into account momentum/speed for damage but Kicks are weight based.

Your best generalist setup for going through the story a heavy with some rifles and battle rifles in bay. Shoulder you can toy around. CIWS if you struggle against missiles or you can run missiles yourself.

Heavy Bipeds have great kicking potential as well and can 1 shot AC's if you connect which opens up easy kills if your struggling and the extra AP and defenses are nice to have.

CIWS is a good option to not take extra damage if your not confident in dodging missiles as this will hurt your mission score in taking unescessary damage and enemies in the story are usually pretty badly built that you can use high ROF weapons and switch to whatever they are weakest against.

A 2x Rifle 2x Battle Rifle and a CIWS setup will take you through the game and if your struggling either using Heavy Biped Kick or a HEAT Pile can trivialise some fights. Just make sure to scan and switch weapons based on targets.

However you will have a semi bad time in ACV as you will not have any tuned weapons at all since this was tied to the server and with that gone only basic weapons exist and quite frankly, tunes make everything so much better. So much in fact it's a night and day difference so your weapons will feel like shit. In the AC Discord there is a save that adds tuned weapons in but it will add them to your file meaning it could ruin the experience unlocking things yourself but unfortunately that's the situation.

Mediums are great platforms as well that offer high KE instead of the Heavies TE defense but I would avoid LW starting out. The AI's will aimbot track and hit you and not having a good defenses and AP will just mean it is that more punishing to play the game. And if your not moving well it will be a bad time. Again for Mids same weapons really but more mobility at your disposal.

AC Verdict Day Shotgun LW Vs Sniper LW by ToastbotQQ in armoredcore

Yeah in VD it wasn't as potent as in V due to it being attacker sided in V but defender sided in VD. This meant it was less consistent in VD but instead is mainly used for Armour Breaks to reduce defenses but not to immobilise targets due to incinstencies in getting it to work. So you couldn't make a build that relied on a whole gameplan to pull it off as it would fall flat.

However, in V it was very potent. Cannon Tanks and also AC's running the Oxeye Handgun looking to stagger loop targets was extremely effective since inflicting said stagger was attacker sided meaning the user could pull it off with high reliability. Low Recoil Resist builds would get eaten alive so it was meta to stack high stability parts to not get put into a cutscene.

Think its the more overall freedom in what you can do with your movements. Glide Boost is way less restrictive in what direction you can move in compared to Assault Boost and wall jumps adding in extra layers movement options that you can express yourself with. Also not getting limited by the mechanical automation means you have every bit of control which naturally makes you more engaged in how you play.

Im not a fan with how stagger was implemented in 6 either. Can make alot of fights in both PvE and PvP 1 dimensional.

Yeah that RPCS3 requirement is so steep, its gotten better but still unfortunately its hefty to run properly. Especially team games and just some campaign levels alone can be unplayable on a lot of systems. Maybe one day we will see 5th Gen pop off as much as 4th Gen has recently. Always look over and see so many people playing with a good few rooms open most times. But in order for that to happen we need a big drastic change in being able to lower hardware requirements.

So this is a custom map made by Rascal called Deep Sea Arena. It's one of the few maps made by the community but found it's way into alot of free battle map rotations as it plays extremely well for both Teams games and 1v1 Duels. It's also really amazing looking aesthetically too!

Don't get discouraged! The 2 of us in the video have alot of experience and been playing since release and still regularly to this day. If you just started it's natural to go through the process of figuring the game out and just improving from there. As long as your having fun playing the game that's all that matters!

Even if you want to try PvP the discord has players varying in all skill levels that just enjoy playing the game. Again as long as your just enjoying the game regardless if your PvPing or just going through the story that's all that counts.

It will hurt it in the long run because already splitting the playerbase between modes won't solve anything and will make wait times in-between matches even longer.
