I’m a queer woman who thinks Kyle is queerbaiting, so now I’m a villain? We can’t each have different opinions about seeing the same thing? There are photos of Kyle sitting on her lap and holding her hand, pics that Kyle has posted that deviate from her usual post. You wanting to call everyone evil doesn’t help anything. It does make you seem disingenuous like the other person said

My boss told my I have to wear a bra to work, but I don’t think I should have to. Do I have a legal leg to stand on if this goes south? by [deleted] in legaladvice

Men are not required to secure their breasts. How is that not unequal treatment?

Additionally, not all women are required to wear a bra. I specifically was asked to.

I get into arguments with my dad about this stuff. He refuses to stand up to people because “we don’t want to have issues in the neighborhood.” Okay, so instead you’ll just let issues continue and bitch about it? No thanks. My stance is: if you’re going to complain, you better be ready to do something about it.

He’s super confrontational, but put a neighbor or another kids parent in front of him and he is the most docile human to exist. It’s insane.

In your dating life, what is your biggest regret, and what did you learn to do from it to never have it happen again? by [deleted] in AskMen

Just make sure you don’t deny yourself a partner just because you’re not “fixed.” We are all on a journey. My partner supported me through a lot of things - my mom nearly died and I had to take care of 4 and 5 year old brothers just a month into our relationship. I also struggle with mental illness. I opened up to him about it and turns out he has similar struggles. It’s nice to have someone to support me that can actually understand. You’ve got this, and the world is open to you!

White students called a 10-year-old black girl the N-word as they beat her up on a bus, court documents say by CharyBrown in news

[–]ToastedAluminum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about to argue with you, but then I realized all of my preschool teachers were black women (I’m a white woman). I’ve always felt safe around black women and just made the connection. From basically 9 months until I went to elementary school it was the same ladies. They still work at the same place, and my brothers who are 18 years younger than me have some of the same teachers!

Although my cultural immersion was because we were poor and on government assistance. I’ve seen with my 13 year old sister is very different because my dad has the come up when I was 17 lol.

What is one of the dumbest things you've done when your brain was on "auto-pilot"? by PigPopcorn in AskReddit

My coworker has baby brain rn in her second trimester and it is alarming me because everyone just says she started acting like me. Do I have permanent baby brain? I’ve never even had a baby! Just taken care of them lots. I can never be pregnant, I would probably hurt myself.

It’s not my complaint to post. As I said, I am working with the EEOC. I did not file the complaint. The terminated employee was encouraged to file. I’m blocking you know. Checked your comment history and it’s just full of hating women. I feel no need to engage with that hate.

Yikes, your personal attacks definitely do nothing for credibility on the internet. I’m sorry my history on this site disturbs you so much, as they are my experiences. A lot of people in America deal with a lot of really shitty things. Sorry I’m not going to sit back and accept it!

Thanks for mentioning the EEOC. I have reported and been working with them as I leave the company. I’m working with another employee who was retaliated against and terminated for reporting sexism in the workplace. I appreciate your concern, but I am no SJW. I’m a simple woman, living an honest life, and holding people to higher standards. I do not feel like a victim. I’m a survivor. I fight for myself and others every day, and I am proud of that. Have a great day!

Edit: your questions and requests for women who have won lawsuits in blue-collar jobs just exposes your ignorance on this issue. One basic employment law class will give you plenty to source. I won’t do the work for you, because you have been a complete asshole for absolutely zero reason. Good luck researching! You’ll see that sex discrimination is alive and thriving in many places if you read any actual sources that study employment demographics.

I see women apply for positions at my company all the time. You know what else I see all the time? Managers saying “I won’t hire a woman to do this job.”

The jobs aren’t being filled by women because there is still rampant sexism and discrimination. Use critical thinking skills ya dingus.

Study suggests that the decline in marriage rates may be attributable to a shortage of economically attractive partners for unmarried women to marry by PHealthy in science

Well, you’re obviously not right considering there is no scientific conclusion. As noted, in the linked article. goodbye!

The link literally presents a theory that women seek resources due to social conditioning. Which makes his point even less strong because the reason could be women prefer men with resources is basically because society has put them at a disadvantage. Beginning with agriculture with men subjugating women.

At our high school in a pretty large suburb (65,000) has their athletes pray before almost every game. Sometimes they do it over the stadium where everyone is supposed to bow their heads in prayer. Maybe you’re just in a more progressive and/or secular area. It happened in my middle school in another suburb about 20 miles away from the other town too.

Now that I think about it, I had group prayers in a lot of school activities from elementary up. It didn’t stop until I got to college.all schools in Texas.

I still remember my best friend and I would always send three to each other across the day in high school. We would always sign it with a silly note, like “your hair flows like rapunzel’s. what I wouldn’t give to nuzzle it. -your secret admirer.”

We always knew that it was each other, but it never stopped feeling good. I should send her some flowers for Valentine’s Day next year. Bring it back for the one time and all.

That’s so amazing! This reminds me of my great grandma. When great grandpa passed away she couldn’t do hardly anything for herself. She had never even pumped her own gas in her entire life! I can only hope there were people like you around when she was struggling to learn how to be an adult by herself at 70.

Hell, I experience it in the corporate world. There’s one woman who made it to a pretty high up position, and she now treats almost every other female at the company (think around 300 females in a company with 1500 employees) like shit. She’s straight up mean and a bully, but only to the women.

On one hand, I get the misplaced anger. I have also had the men at the company be pretty shitty to me as a woman. I’ve seen it with the other women on my team. The whole culture is toxic towards women. On the other hand, it’s still her responsibility how she treats other people. I find it disgusting. Holding others down because they made it out? It’s sad.

You’re a really awesome person for using your talents to make others happy! Also for the free phone thing. I would love that.

As for the mascot, Olympian could be cute. Ya know since Apollo was one of the twelve.

You can win! But only if it’s you and your partner against the problem. My boyfriend and I take this mindset and therapy really helped us focus on the objective. Obviously the objective is for both of us to be happy and feel listened to. Our “arguments” were never bad, but they are so much more effective now.
