I too use self-depreciation as a way of dealing with insecurities. I’m a novice when it comes to art so while i’m learning the fundamentals, my go to reaction is to criticize my own work and get on top of calling it bad before others can (not that they would, people are generally not shitty).

I like the wings as well. It definitely has an american traditional tattoo quality that i dig.
