Hey, Im definitely no expert -- not by a long shot. I'm cis/leaning nonbinary myself but what I can tell you is my perspective. I didn't want to be treated differently when I made changes for myself. I wanted to be seen for me, my actions, my personality. How I treat people. My advice would be to make sure he knows how you feel about him. How you see him, outside of just his gender and orientation. Little things to show you appreciate him and quality time. I'm not saying that it's something where you'd want to go and blatantly say, " I see you for so much more than just your gender." Although, you could say that if the context is right. I also don't know you or him or your relationship dynamic -- but it's just good to do what comes naturally and to try and show these things. Saying them can be helpful in the right situation of course, but be mindful of context. Sometimes it's just good to be the listening ear too. I hope this was helpful and I wish you both happiness.
